Hanseatic Marine more recently known for their stunning launch and delivery of the megayacht 'SilVer' in the closing months of 2007. SilVer is a long, sleek, fast and spacious luxury megayacht designed by Espen Oeino. She totes 2 X custom 30 foot tenders in garages in the bow, 1 X large aft garage- housing a classy beach club, stunning alternative dining on the sundeck and aircraft-styled interiors. However, to follow in SilVer's footsteps, will be a sister yacht by the name of Fangio. Fangio will no doubt be just as spectacular as SilVer, with a long, sleek and fast profile. To be built of aluminum, the Fangio is expected to displace around 600 tonnes ( a bit heavier than SilVer). The Fangio will also be an Espen Oeino masterpiece sculpted to a length of 73.30M, a beam of 10.00M and a draught of just 2.5 M. Hanseatic Marine has this vessel underconstruction currently and is well advanced in the progress of the process. Earmarked for a launch and delivery in early 2009, this Oeino design should be another 'crowd-pleaser'. The Fangio will be constructed to the stipulations and regulations of Lloyds and also SOLAS (in the bracket if carrying less than 36 passengers). The vessel is expected to fly the red ensign of Cayman Islands with registry in Georgetown (C.I). *** Here are revised statistics of the Fangio: LOA:73.30M LWL: 65.00M BOA: 10.00M Draught: 2.50 M Displacement: 600 tonnes Engines: 2 X MTU 16 V 4,000 M71's Speed: abt 24.5 knots Range: 4,500 NM @ 18 knots Fuel: 110,000 L Water: 30,000 L Materials: Aluminum (hull) ; Aluminum (superstructure) Capacity: 18 guests ; 16 crew Classification: Lloyds ; SOLAS (up to 35 passengers) http://www.hanseaticmarine.com Hanseatic Marine Picture
Fangio? Has anyone heard anything on the "Fangio" Project. She is a sister to the "SilVer", this seems to be another hushed project or has the economic climate taken toll?
So it then seems that this Project Fangio might just well be the "Rabdan" that we have been seeing in the Abu Dhabi thread. I guess it is only logical to assume this. It seems that few knew publically about the launch and delivery of this vessel.
"SilVer Zwei" is read to embark on another attempt to break it's own record in speed, distance and fuel economy. Remember when she was on her delivery cruise to Dubai from Australia? Now she is doing from Dubai to Singapore. Here is what SilVer Zwei looks like for our members who are not sure...
Yea, she is a slight improvement over "SilVer". SilVer is nice, make no mistake, but the 2nd hull is more vibrant, I wonder of her interior as well...
"SilVer Zwei" has made great progress and she is now on course to make it to Singapore by the 18th of June which is the time that want to get there on or before. From all reports, she has handled the swells thrown at her well. So far swells have peaked just above 5-meters. So they have just about 4 days to go to equal the record of her Sister ship "SilVer" which made the same trip before.
"SilVer Zwei" has completed her transit on time in near 8 days and 6 hours. I believe she has outdone her self in the weather conditions that she had to sail through for most of the way. Very well done to the crew of SilVer Zwei She is now in marina in Singapore.
