The water line to the bar sink in the stbd aft corner of the salon has developed a leak. It is right where the line passes through a hole in the salon floor, so likely failed from years of vibration/rubbing. Since we don't normally use that sink for now I am going to cap the line at the T which feeds sinke and the ice maker (leaves ice maker functional).

The line runs through the salon cabinet inside the wire chase cover inside the cabinet. It looks impossible to remove as the line comes out a hole in the chase cover then runs almost all the way across the inside of the cabinet. The cover will move a couple inches away, but no where near far enough to slip off the end of the rigid copper line.

Has anyone replaced that section of water line? If so would like to know how it was done. I'm thinking that when I get to replacing the line I'll likely cut and remove the old line, but run the new line up inside the cabinet but not inside the chase cover.

Can you get to the tubing's bad spot?
Cut and install a slip on connect?

I thought about one of the snake-bite couplers. I would need to get acess to drill the hole in the floor larger for a coupler, it is barely larger than the existing copper tube. I don't think I have room for even my mini tube cutter between the water tube and the wiring in the chase. I can't see the tube over most of the run as it is intermingled with cables.

I am a bit late to using these cutters. I'll tell you that they work great in tight places.
Cut out a square in front of the bad tubing, cut the tubing, install a snake bite fitting, glue back in the removed wood, fair and finish.

I did not think much about these gizmos a few years ago,, now I use one near every project. Gig saw now collecting dust and rust.
