Very retro styling theme! Is the retractable roof the only entry into the cockpit? If it's raining at time you go on board, will the cockpit be exposed to a lot of rain as you enter? too practical Kelly
Hi I would naturally compare this to an aquariva. The use of space is not as efficient, for example nowhere outside to sit, nowhere for sunbathing, the rear steps take a lot of space. A little more versatility in the aft design would attract me. Sorry to be critical but I hope it's of use to you. The design looks cool I like the roof.
Aft section of roof also include a manually operated entry door. This edition is designed for Scandinavian climate with more or less very unstable weather conditions from sun to rain. Heating and defog systems but also AC for hot days. Sunbathing on snap on paddings at fore deck. Full headroom in cabin & cockpit.
Yacht Limo Limo edition, with same retractable roof system. 2x Volvo D4 300Hp, Rolls Royce water jets, aft/bow thrusters, hi-tech composites.
I really like the limo, have you done a full 3d of this? Also think Kelly's point about getting in and out of the main cabin without wetting the interior is an important one. If you can solve that then this would be a fantastic super yacht tender. Maybe an idea to provide some rain cover for the helm too. Nice design though!
Yes it is in full 3D and the first boat be at moment built in Sweden. 3 parts electro/hydraulic retractable hardtop in carbonfibre/lexan. Aft part of roof panels also include a manually operated hatch for easy entry in rainy or snowy days as we often have here up north .
The one off built hull ready for epoxy filling/ wood covering. Redesigned roof, more wood, full length(10ft) power assisted side windows, Volvo IPS 400/joystick waiting to to be installed. Can be be pretty cool as a megayacht tender? What do you think?
This roof be with 3 panels, opening= 6ft x 13ft, all panels lays flush when closed and be parked under aft deck in down position. Track/drain system in polished stainless steel.
Your works is very nice, can you tell me which 3d softwares do you use ? do you also use HDIR pic for the rendering background?
I asked the question months ago on this forum, why nobody makes a hardtop fold-away like a Mercedes SLK et al. These renderings look very fine but why so much wasted space at the aft with huge steps, when most of the time entry will be from the side? Other than that it could make a pretty Superyacht tender. Cheers Dave
Boat is pretty low profiled, roof panels in down position take som place and when boat is also powered with Volvo IPS system there be a long stern, but that be nice for sunbathing with snap-on sunpaddings. Steps is there to get a chance to get up from swimplatform to deck.
