One of the most frustrating things about taking pictures at a yacht show is not being able to take the shot because of how a boat is positioned.

In some cases all you really have a good shot of is the yacht's name.

    Fortunately they are rather entertaining!!!

All good things come to an end, eventually.

Today is the day for the Palm Beach Boat show, at least there; but not here.

    P.S.- More to follow. ;)

Yes, the Palm Beach Show lives on, thanks to YF contributors.
A big SHOUT-OUT to disco Dave for his great photos and accompanying details. Sorry I missed you on the docks.
Dave posted a flurry of daytime pics, so let me add some night images.
Sit back and enjoy the continuing show.

The Palm Beach show keeps getting bigger and better. And the fact that there are hotels, parking garages and a plethora of fine eateries within walking distance, this has become THE favorite show in South Florida.
West Palm Beach, we thank you!

Nortech is taking a Lowtech approach to marketing, using OCC to reach OSO buyers. Have to give credit to Notech, they built a go-fast brand without ever winning a race...

A pirate was in attendance at the Palm Beach Show. Tom Mason, who built and successfully sold Midnight Express has resurrected a Powerful name; Powerplay boats. He's recreated the line, idling the go-fast molds and turning his attention to the go-fish category. Two Powerplays were on display, the 35' and the 42'... although the latter (seen in this picture) wasn't actually a real boat. It's essentially the wood pattern that IS the plug. Tom knew the first hull wouldn't be ready for the PB show, so they dropped a finished deck over the plug and toted it to the show.

Sounds like an impressive feat, but pales in comparison to the performance figures this monster is laying down. In prototype form, the hull and base deck (minus t-top and interior) has hit 69mph with twin 300 outboards. This means 60mph is a very real possibility when the boat is fully finished. Again, this is with TWIN outboards on 42' of boat!!!

Do not think that will fit under a normal size tree.

    You'll need a big tree for Santa's visit! ;)

    Good pic of human life.

Early life (near stern) - walking hand-in-hand, step-in-step.

Later life - she holds handbag in one hand and lap dog in other, while walking totally opposite step.

Say, isn't the pirate on the left the infamous Paul Teutul of Orange County Choppers, a manufacturer of custom motorcycles and focus of the reality television series American Chopper?

Yes watched sometimes the series as well, definitely a guy who is difficult to deal with to put it mildly.

Carl, please fly CapTom to the next Monaco Yachtshow, so he can take his so admired night time photos there as well...they are magnificent!

Thanks for you efforts as well, Dave!
