A stately helm if there ever was one.

Classy when the yacht's name is etched on the bell along with the builder.

A simple flybridge station but with plenty of view. Note the foredeck lockers.

Master stateroom. Note the fine woodwork details.

Those forward lockers are raised and mounted on stands so they are not right on the deck.

As we leave M/Y Victorian Rose, you'll see that her elegant profile may have you pining for another look but her striking bow will pierce your heart just like she pierces the waves.

Prior to the show, a friend called me and said to make sure I visited "Stingray". And I'm glad I did. Not only is this a sporty little vessel (little as in 55'), but you get the sense, even at the dock, that this is a fun boat either cruising or at anchor.

M/Y Stingray is easily identified by her emblem on the transom.

Here's the custom cradle for the dink on top of the house, adorned with beautiful varnished woodwork.

The foredeck gets a rustic feel from the unfinished teak decking, wooden grabrails and the absence of a railing.

Built at the Whorton Shipyard in Rhode Island in 1964, Stingray is a Raymond Hunt design. She was refit in 2009 at the Brooklin Boat Yard, in Brooklin, Maine.

On the aft end of the salon is the galley.

The attention to details is evident throughout Stingray, including her well polished nav lights, that many times get overlooked.

Plenty of ways to let the sunshine and breeze in.

Cozy cockpit to watch the world go by or even wet a line. I'm thinking more the bamboo pole style than a Penn International rig. Anyone have a straw hat?

Aft room accessible from helm or cockpit, just down a few steps.

Be careful with this Stingray, 'cause you might get stung.

A few [choice] words come to mind with regards to the above pictures boats.
Timeless, classic, elegant, and most certainly beautiful.

    Thanks Carl and Tom.

There were a couple of [choice] Rybo's too. This is one of them. I didn't get any details because we weren't really working the show. We came to relax and reminisce about an era we all appreciated and in many ways, wish we could return to.
