OK, the thread is open for discussion. Sorry to lock everyone out over the past 24 hours, just trying to maintain thread continuity. Apologies to Nilo, PropBet and RevDCS for removing your earlier posts. Hope you'll join back in.

Special thanks to Capt. Tom Serio for a week of hard work at the 2008 Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show. He was covering the show from sunrise to sunset for YF.

Tired of lookin' at boats? Then check out... Boat Show Babes!

    No problem Carl.
Made perfect sense to keep the top of the thread clean.

So, let me stick this back in here:

    Outstanding!
Wonderful job in coverage of the show.

    Great coverage, Carl and Tom!

Note to Manny: re.: Donzi 80--wait'll you see the engine room.

Note to self: if the pix of those Russian ladies [2008 FLIBS Boat Show Babes thread] weren't PS'ed, it's time to start brushing with Smirnoff.

Thanks Carl and Capt Tom for some outstanding images and first class coverage of the show.

I reckon the Crew member from Straight Jacket and the Titanic wanabe should be included in the Babes thread

'Precarious Position' would make a great name for a yacht - especially if one bought her last year on credit :D

Here here! great shots of all these boats.
I think I'd have a heart attack trying to manuver in this mayhem of yachts!
    Was there no mishaps?
I guess those little tow boats were busy.
    Anyway...
on page 2 post 16, the 60' passagemaker looks like a new Queenship built Sparkman Stevens design. I saw an adverd on this boat quite some time ago but there is no mention of it on their website? Strange! Anyone have any info from Queenship? Is Dan Fritz still operating it?
Also on page 2 in post 28...the 40' San Juan. What a gorgeous boat. I didn't realize they offered this one.
    Again, great photos. Thanks.

The place to go is http://www.seaspirityachts.com/. They've got the story on their 51, 60, 75, 80 and a soon to be 51 foot models. Nice looking website I might add.

    Oh!
So Queenship gets them built in China?
    It is a nice site.
I'd like to know about the At Queenships’ yard in Maple Ridge British Columbia several luxury yachts ranging in size up to 142’ are now in various stages of construction

Had hoped to make the show and meet up with some of you, but got delayed by winds on the way down. (Even brought my YF shirt.:) ) Hope the show was as good as it seemed.

    Hey Capt. Tom,
An 8 day trip turned into 14. Got in on Tuesday afternoon. As I was idling down the ICW the boats were blasting north. Guess I got to see most of the show but it was in motion. Oh well, best laid plans and all that.
