Viking Yachts had a bevy of sport cruisers and convertibles in attendance. If you couldn't find something you liked there, maybe you shouldn't be boating.

A pre-show sign so you don't end up with a handful of varnish.

These look like pizza or bread ovens, but are really plate warmers on Casino Royale.

    2008 FLIBS Coverage Continued...

Tuesday Night, November 4th - Post Show Coverage Continued

    by Carl Camper

Tom Serio and I spent the entire day shooting the Post Show Boat Parade from the Pelican Bar at Pier 66. Tom has over 1500 images from the shoot and is sorting them out tonight. In the meantime, I have more pics to add to our FLIBS coverage, but I need a little time to download and format 'em. Here's a few to get started...

This is Judy Wald's listing 'Sand Pebble', which I refer to as the Medic Ship; the FLIBS floating version of a MASH unit, where I was rushed into surgery and emerged ready to do battle with Marketing Directors that somehow missed the Internet boat.

The Vripack designed, Kuiper's Woudsend 102' Doggersbank 'Beothuk' (say that 5 times fast!) was in attendance. Several blow-up boats were testing it's steel hull. They lost.

Beothuk's dining area is set forward on the main deck. With a view like this, drop the flat panel!
