Lights and such are usually Daisy chained from the switch. It sounds like you have a light that has overheated and the wire connection behind it...
I looked back at the the thread. I don't see any speed / RPM ratios posted. As an example, what is the speed at 1950rpm?
That really sounds like a tank vent issue.
Boomer..the problem is that in time you won't be happy with the speed so you're going to push them past 2000 rpm and now you're going beyond 80%...
