Review: Moonen Yachts 97' "Sofia II"

Impressive for a yacht this size, Moonen has provided a playing field-size engine room to house its twin Caterpillar C 18 DI-TA engines, plus generators, thrusters and other essential mechanical necessities. Glorious walk-around space and basketball-player headroom make this a gem indeed to service, as well as analyze performance. Those Dutchmen certainly know how to provide for top-drawer mechanical talent.

Summing up, Moonen has produced yet another rising star – an award winner, no doubt – in its
“Pocket Superyacht” series. With Lloyd’s Register and MCA approval, plus 75 gorgeous yacht builds
to its credit, this Dutch Builder seems certain to foster yet another growing league on the world’s
seven seas. Furthermore, 3rd and 4th Moonen 97’s are already set for 2010 delivery.
