    Heading to a different way

This is Minotaure, son of Pasiphae : 15.00m - high standard sailing boat.
More details to come, but the spirit is there.

    Press article - SVDesign

I got interesting article about my work in The Yacht Report, April 2009.
It was a full page into Fleet News "Out of the Ordinary", with very encouraging comments. :)

Excellent Sylvain. Good press and industry recognition is the key. Congrats.

    Newcomer - Vif Argent

    Hi everybody.

I did not post recently, very busy on other affairs, but I had the time to elaborate something new again, a mix between glider and foiler.

I hope you will like Vif Argent

    :)

Here is the principle behind Vif Argent, with complete adjustable system for the gliders.

Cool design, but only useful as a commuter ferry (no sun-deck area). You also failed to look at it from a boatwasher's or especially a line handler's point of view.

It is more of less the same story with this kind of ship.

Exactly, commuter ferry. You'll notice however the flat roofs, decks and the catwalk around the sides. Also, your bubble jet-fighter style glass helm enclosure will cook the crew. Better to have that in a passenger area where they can move about.

There is no complete catwalk all around the last ship - only above fwd foil, for docking, and aft.
I put a side door on Vif Argent, giving access to the rear arm, widen to allow crew to walk in when the ship is in low position and to go to the side hull for docking purposes.
Washing can be a problem - I agree.
I will thinking to a different design for bridge, with more shadow ;)

    Boat or car?

Looks like a big version of the Aptera automobile! :D

    Hello !
I was slightly away from the forum since last September, but I'm now back to affairs ;)

Here is the latest concept : PRIVATE
    Length : 89.00m

She can be used as private yacht, but also as a kind of mini-cruiser, with very high luxury standards on board. The look can appear very casual compared to what I sketched previously, but the volume available for accomodation is therefore considerable for 89m "only".

As a yacht, I would accomodate owner suite on top deck, with a wide and protected sun deck aft. VIP cabins and lounges can be laid on main deck, and all crew cabin and facilities at lower deck and under.

Wheelhouse is designed for a wide view angle, and fitted with a comfortable aviation control room for helicopter operations.

Hot water production is optimized with solar panels on top.

I'm preparing the lazarette arrangement, with something special in there.....

"named from precious black stone coming out of volcanoes."

All that black color.....better seriously beef up the insulation and A/C power to compensate for the serious heat gains in hot weather....otherwise, VERY interesting designs!!

    Cheers,

    new concept : Esquisse

She is a more conventional design, 55m length : Esquisse.

I'm pretty sure she will be much more appreciated that raw Private.
I went as far a possible with my computer capabilities, and as a consequence the transom remains a bit 'simple' and small equipment is missing on decks (lights, antennas,...) but the line is there.

I will try another set of colours this evening, much more "dark side", just for fun :p

Here are new renders, with small details added. I found a way to recover some memory with different meshing parameters and no loss of accuracy. I still have to work on the stern - I'm not really happy with it - something is missing...

I tried full blue, and silver/blue.

I like the blues. Takes it from military to stylishly cool.

Looking good. To my mind, the two tone is best. Helps showcase the sibling forms of the superstructure. I personally would like to see her with a matte black or satin carbon hull, with a satin nickel or otherwise metallic superstructure paint- perhaps something like this color combo: LINK
