Cut in transom door

    Search is failing me.

    Has anyone cut a transom door in an older Post 42 that didn't have one? Looking to do this. Primarily to allow easier boarding from floating dock / swim platform when docked stern-in. So looking for a full pathway - hinged covering board that folds over on itself I assume, and the door probably swinging out to preserve cockpit room ...

    You're going to have to really beef up the area's around the door. It can be done, it won't be cheap.
