I am hoping there might be a few Aicon 56 owners on this site... We are currently looking at a 2003 and could use some feedback as to pro's and con's of the vessel? Are there any (or too many) inherent issues with them? Appreciate any guidance I can get!

Not an owner but I ve seen a few around here (Miami). The first thing that struck me was either the lack of rub rail or the flimsiness of the rubrail

It s a common issue with many euro builders selling boats in the US... in Europe you mostly med moor with fenders, here you are usually in slips with wooden pilings... So without a rub rail you either need 4 people tending fenders or a friend good with gelcoat repairs...

And then y have boarding... Again it's a euro thing where passerelles are common but here you need side gates to get on and off th boat... And some builders incl Aicon don't get this

The Aicon 56 designed by Fulvio de Simoni was the most succesful boat (sold about 120 boats) from the Messina / Milazzo boat builder.
In 2003 the model had only one layout, as after this (2006 onwards) two other main deck (minimal squarish) layouts where available.
She was the second production mainstream yacht of about 17 meters (less to 18) to offer a full beam midships owners cabin.
The other was the Azimut 55 launched in the fall of 2000.

Old Aicon's model before 05/06 used to fade very fast.
Furniture is of good quality, since the founders had previously a company which did sub-contracting work for interior of other boat builders.
Have a good look at structural integrity.
