I bought this 37' Alum. Roamer 'cause I wanted to have spare engines for my 41' Roamer. Boat needs a lot of work but is very do-able. Everything is there, I really don't won't to scrap her.
Yes, actually it's in a boat yard called "Harbor Towne Marine." The facilities is fully equipped with a travel lift and interstate access.
Here is the specs on the trailer if you want to call the manufacture for any information including the original price. The trailer appears to be in good shape. I had the boat transported to the present location , a distance of 20 or so miles , 6 months ago with no problems. Admin edit: Oversize image removed
Their suppose to be pretty good. I trailered the boat , about 20 miles , to it's new location about 6 months ago with no problems.
I will sell the trailer at a fair price but I can't give it away. It seems to be in very good shape. I kinda wanted the trailer to go with the boat which would make the sell that much easier but I'm afraid nobody wants her.
Christ-all-friday, an aluminum 37", really? Well, I demand you find the hull# - I'm updating the "List of Known Roamers" and want to include this one (name?). THX-a-million! - Eric "Tin Tonic" PS - Email me for a free copy, we've found 456 Roamers so far (23%).
Eric, Jim let me take a look at this '37 a few weeks ago and I have the serial number, RXP-2508R. I took quite a few pics and will load them when I get home. Definitely a fixer upper.
We have already have RXP-37-2508 (AL) listed as a 1966 Riviera 37: "Priorities" located Newport News, VA where owner reported buying her in '05 in Michigan, with T/427s (hence Jim's interest). Calling him to confirm. - Eric
Thanks guys for all your interest and help. The boat is still here in Knoxville at Harbourtown Marina on the trailer. Don't want to scrap here and hope she finds a good home.
Previous owner confirms sale of RXP-37-2508 to a party in Tennesee 5or 6 years ago. She definitely had 427s and a blue stripe. New owner was a newbie to boating and had planned to take her to Texas, but it looks like she never made it. Many thanx to Jim for bringing her plight to light - who knows, she may yet fall into strong hands yet. A very worthy restoration candidate! Cheers, Eric
Thanks for your hard work and all you do. By the way, do you have my 41 Regal Roamer on your list? Her name is Copy Cat
Do we have "Copy Cat", do we have "Copy Cat" - what kinda question is that? Only the finest aluminum 1970 Roamer Regal 41 [RDP-41-4502 (AL)] plying the waters of Tennessee we figure - copy that! Seen any Volunteers' games recently? Cheers! - Eric PS - Was "1st Choice" originally (nee) "Phase One"? [And no, we do NOT have her hull# - that's a due out to you sir ]
This was my boat a while back While not in the best shape when I sold it, hate to see it like this now. Hope it goes to a good home, had a lot of fun with it. If you can go back far enough on this forum, I had it listed here Feb 2011 but had no photos Take Care George O
