Does anyone on this forum live near Harbortowne Marina in Vonore, Tennessee? They have this 57' Roamer listing. If you live near, please let me know a little more about her. Thanks in advance.
I live in Knoxville and have gone to Harbortowne Marina many times. I know the boat you're referring to. She's been here in Knoxville since the 1970's and has always been properly maintained.
I agree. I think the current owner either passed away or is sick Either way, he spend a tremendous amount of money on the boat and, I guess their just trying to get their money back.
Somebody get me a name or hull# - we need to get her on the List of Known Survivors -- what a yacht!!
I would be interested in seeing any updated photos you could get when you visit your marina. Also, please let me know if there are any updates on her asking price. How long before you put "Copy Cat" in the water? We are still a month away in Central NY.
We don't haul our boats out of the water for the winter like you do up north. In fact, I haven't had her out of the water in 6 years. I do plan on having her pulled out in 4-6 weeks and have her bottom painted. Tony Hale is the man to talk to at Harbortown Marina. Tony was down at my Marina yesterday giving me a quote on my bottom job and we talked about the big roamer you're interested in. He and his crew did all of the work and he commented on how nice it came out.
That must be nice not having to fog engines and put anti-freeze in water tanks! That is one of the reasons that we are considering a move south for our retirement. How far south have you traveled with your boat?
I still winterize my engines and fresh water system but I don't have to pull the boat. Most boat owners down here just but heaters in their boat. I however, don't like to take chances and winterize everything. I'm on Fort Loudon Lake which is part of the Tennessee River chain. I've only taken by boat as far south as Chattanooga but I have a lot of friends who go on down to the Gulf of Mexico. You can make the trip in 7 days or so. Knoxville is a great place to live and we really only have two months of winter, Jan and Feb.
We are vacationing in Rotonda West, FL on the Gulf Coast currently. Many interesting spots to boat around Charlotte Harbor so we are considering relocating to this area next year. It would be wonderful to be living aboard a Roamer here!

Hope you're enjoying our weather!! We're on the Caloosahatchie just above the first lock (Franklin). JUST got our first Roamer, can't wait to get her out on the blue water hopefully this summer! Get enough Roamer owners down here and maybe we can put together a Roamer Get-together! Drop us a line some time, love to meet fellow members when the opportunity presents itself!
Hello You are about 1 1/2 hours away from me. I am definitely enjoying the weather as i am just returning from a round of golf. Are you crossing Lake Okeechobee and heading north for the summer? I still have hopes to do the Loop someday!
That's pretty close! Weather here is amazing, that's what brought us down. No, we are permenant residents here now. We absolutely plan to do the loop as soon as we can get all our ducks in a row- figure the 'new' Roamer would be the perfect rig to do it aboard too! We were planning to do the loop aboard a sternwheel riverboat we have, but the move separated us from it and now we are trying to sell her- just don't see having the time or ability to get back up to KC and work on her. Everything happens for a reason though!!! Hope to see you on the water!
Alloyed2sea, I found 2 listings for Roamers on the Fort Myers Craiglist page. One is a 41 Regal and the other is a 48 Riveria. The photos are attached.
Jim, I just noticed that a $30,000 price reduction has been made on her. Has there been any interest parties? Joel
