So, what about the design to come? Will it be traditional as Burger, more curvy as the new Hatteras or a style of their own?

Personally I like the style of 112´Britannia built by Broward in 1990, but just for fun I have adjusted one of my designs from last year as another, more avant-garde style.

What do the Broward fans think and wish about the future design? Feel free to share ideas and opinions here... :)

THAT... should be the new Broward! :)

I'm impressed... this design has subtle hints at Broward's lineage, while offering a completely modern and updated look. The full length hull windows could create an instant "signature" for them as well.

If you have GA's... I would be happy to forward them. ;)

THIS... was the fastest reply I have ever seen... :)

Thanks Carl, I have a GA on a 105´in "my" thread, but this could fit with most of the Broward GA:s with a raised wheelhouse. The windows are glued to the structure, same as with cars today and with a slight mirror effect you will not realize that there are partitions behind.

    Lars,

What are your thoughts on sweeping the radar arch forward and integrating a hardtop?

Whoops... you're right. That's exactly what the original design looked like. Your newest design for the Broward looks better.

Broward's have historically used Bimini tops. Maybe this tradition should be continued... :)

i think the new browards should look classic...most new boats today dont even look like boats, they look like spaceships

    Hi Lars

Just made one small adjustment. There was a clash with the lines in the windows to my eye.

    Yes Garry,

There are many clashes in this patchwork.. ;)

Actually the classic sheerline doesn´t fit very well with all the straight lines. Here is another attempt with a more straight sheerline and the flybridge following...

    Hi Lars

You have drawn a powderhorn sheer which on the right boat is stunning but maybe a true classic sheer would work well. Personally I do not like straight sheers. It is after all the most proment curve on a yacht, which should not resemble a shoe box. I will have another look tomorrow after I have gotten over my hang over. ( my team made it to the grand final tonight )

I am working in M.S. Paint to do this so it's a bit rough but you get the idea.

Yes well the bow came out a little higher than intended, but I was thinking of a couple of inches of curvature with the maximum curve about the same point as the original.

The original "Lars design" is a masterpiece.
Fresh lines and color but at the same time it looks like a "Broward".

Most any vector graphic program can be used for styling a yacht. Much more specialized programs (some very expensive) exist for handling the technical aspects of the hull design.

Here is a good thread on the basic approach -

And a whole forum devoted to this topic -
