1998 53 voyager rain water leak

    i have a 1998 53 with a rain water leak that appears on the step to the pilot house near the 12 volt panel.has anybody had this problem.it just appears on the rug it is not dripping from above.

    Remove the DC panel and look inside the starboard salon wall towards the left (fwd). There is a screw there that holds the aft section of the lower pilothouse door track in place. I was getting water running down that screw and across the bottom of that interior cavity into the carpet area. You may be having the same issue.

    After removing the DC Control panel I was able to reach forward and smear the hole left by the screw with some 5200. That seemed to do the trick.

    I am having the same water leak problem with my 1999 Carver 530. I will have a look to see if I can correct the problem the same way as you described. Thank you for the information.
