Does anyone have any background on this company? The boat's design is beautiful, in my opinion, but i've never heard of Eagle. It is priced aggressively for it's size - is this something to be cautioned about? I can imagine that support from the manufacturer could be a problem if they are out of business.

See the link below for the boat i'm referring to:

    Hi Ryan,

Can't say I recall ever seeing an Eagle. Kind of a bizarre main deck layout? The price is reasonable for its age and size, but probably reflects a lack of pedigree? It's an interesting find, but $2.3M buys a lot of nice boats in today's market.

Thanks Carl - the pedigree is what i'm thinking too in regards to the low pricing. Didn't take a close look at the layout, but it is aesthetically pleasing to look at. Doesn't look like anyone else knows much about them either!

A follow-up from my question of 2 years ago. You Ask - You Learn

Her transcript of registry shows she was built at Eagle Marine Shanghai DHS Yacht, HIN: EYT26101I809. Possibly one of three built from the original molds. The hull is non-cored, solid GRP with a structural grid made up of 16 stringers and 14 ribs... See which. Maybe overbuilt.

Her current owner completed a deck-up refit in 2011. This latest incarnation was designed and supervised by Luiz de Basto.

Cortenzo seems to have been a marketing company with a CA arrangement that didn't workout. The Shanghai yard sold the molds and engineering to IAG. See which... IGA Electra 100.

Thanks for the detailed info. Seems like a decent hull design, but i'm no expert... Definitely a weird interior layout after taking a closer look.

Maybe not so strange. (GA below - top)

However, possibly more appealing if the forward media room on the main deck would have been the master, and the starboard twin below were removed and a lower deck lounge configured, as was proposed for hull #4. (GA below - bottom)
