Has anyone seen this vessel, or know its whereabouts?...the original wooden vessel built by Hodgdons Bros in Maine

This subject just came up recently over here:
    http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/general-sportfish-discussion/15441-alden-hawsksbill.html#post120468

I had posted pics of the original wood version over here:
    http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/general-sailing-discussion/6710-motor-sailers-philip-rhodes-john-alden-4.html

She was in a VA boatyard several yrs ago when I was thinking of buying her. Just wondered where she might be now?

Bill Full at East Coast Yacht sales sold her last year. I am told she needed a lot of work, although she still looked good having had good care from a long time owner.

I remember her from growing up. The owners lived in my town and also spent quite a bit of time over in Man O War in the Bahamas.
It has been along time since I have seen her or a picture, brings back fond memories of summer on Cape Cod.

I ran a couple of small lobsteryachts while in college for an elderly gentleman who regaled me with many an interesting story of his time aboard the HAWSKBILL. James Abeles, now deceased, was a good friend of the owner of the boat in the 70s and 80s I believe.

I realize this is not much help but seeing and hearing about that boat brings back some good memories of driving around a wonderful older yachtsman with many a sea story...and funny limerick.

    Best,

    James

Was this boat built by Halmatic?
