    You'll buy anything that supports your desire. Tire hit it. What was it a self propelled tire that magically swam to the boat and rammed it underneath? Whatever it is, that's damage from an allision. So now add to it being an 11 year old boat, it's an 11 year old boat in an illision and not used since the repairs were made.

    I dont know nothing about that and whatever they do I truly wish the best to everyone. The guy Marc did responded to my email when I emailed their general email to confirm the year of the first sale for the pointed Hull ID# and after that passed me to their service and parts department offering me 10% discount on future orders if I need it lol :)

    The marina said that there was no grounding as there was no damage to the hull not even a scratch..... so I dont know

    They do plan to drive the boat from Daytona to West Palm Beach on the 9th so it will be a good sea trial to check for any issues and if there is they will return it back to the marina.

    And BTW the only reason why I have this information as the seller shared with me the repair bills and spoke with the Marina.

    On the Ferriti there is almost no information as the broker is not very responsive and does not share much info.

    A soft grounding won't necessarily damage the hull. I'd definitely check the other shaft and propeller as well though and other things like motor mounts and balance. It was in a wreck....simple. Technically, an allision if it hit something as you say it did. According to the story you're buying, where was this culprit enemy evil tire?

    See, you're the one talking about $150k upgrades and these are not upgrades. Now, 11 years old, it likely needs some. Have you figured that cost in? Start with all the electronics. Then perhaps upholstery and floors may need work. Canvas. And perhaps equipment of other types.

    You talk about this and the Ferretti as if they're the only two boats in the Universe. You've focused on just them without ever seeing either one. Why are you looking in FL if you live in LA? Buy any boat you want but don't try to convince us that the wrecked boat you want is wonderful and perfect.

    Silence isn't golden from a broker. It's a curtain. "If you can't say anything good..."
    I think you've gotten all the answers you're getting unless the captain of an Aicon finds the thread and chimes in. I'd recommend radio silence till after you sea trial so you don't inadvertently influence your negotiations. Seller or broker could be lurking. Home you'll let us know how it works out.

    I am not trying convicting anyone for anything. The owner had the boat for 2 years and spend over 200K all together for the past 2 years on mostly upgrades and refit until his last bill for the major repairs. He updated the teak flooring on the aft, steps and the slim plat form, all the navigation electronics are 2020 models all upholstery is is recently updated. I have a pretty good video showing it all very nice....

    There is no much choice in LA Mr Olderboater. East Coast is famous with the big choice of yachts.

    Yep those are charter pics. My guess is someone thought they could make money chartering it, and then reality set in.

    Yes they did try to charter it but it did not work out for them as owner told me that people prefer much bigger boats

    Assuming, since no statements otherwise from the OP, that it's the boat being leased or sold by Saveene. First let's talk a bit about their ads. In one they show the 5 year lease for two weeks a year and say strongly it is not for sale. Lie. Important to note. Just as the 2012 is but may technically be right, just never clarified anywhere. Now they also show it elsewhere available for a fractional ownership and even try to solicit there for investors in the business or people to buy franchises from them. Oh, now we see more. Big talkers, big ideas, but did they sell any leases? If so, then how could they sell the boat? I don't see any indication it was chartered so my guess is just dressed up for the leases. But then who was at the helm when it wrecked? Charter? Fractional owner? Lessee? I wouldn't trust any part of what Saveene is selling.

    They say sold new in 2012 for $3.8 million. Well, let's just say we bought a new Sunseeker Manhattan 65 in 2016 a flybridge boat, for significantly less than that and the market in 2016 was much stronger than 2012. My point is that when someone lies to you then don't believe anything they say. They say over $500k in customization and upgrades. All sales drivel.

    The phone number given is also given for South Beach Spirits. It trades OTC and currently for $0.0010 per share. Averaging over 32 million shares a day trading ($32,000).

    The principles are **** and ****** ******* (names blanked out intentionally) their primary business being Mina Mar Group, which is in the business of taking small companies public in the OTC market. The boat, the fractional ownership, the lease, and what they call the Club Adjustable Fractional Ownership are all their efforts. Their money was made in sub prime lending (think Cash stores) and they sold the company to a China based consortium before the laws on payday loans changed.

    Just find out the true status and ownership of the boat before going any further as you could buy a boat and pick up an outstanding lease in the process.

    Plenty of charters in that size range. You trust the owner far more than I would. Has owner told you about fractional ownership and his leasing program too?

    Mr Olderboater, Thank you for helping on the research. Yes I agree that things are not very clear and seller did mentioned that he tried to charter / lease and so on and did not work out for him on this size boat. He did put lots of money to make the boat look nice and attractive and it seems he was unlucky with the Tire thing which he did not mention but the Marina did when I called in process of trying to get as much info as I can. I feel like detective at this point.

    The boat is registered under BVI Corporation without any leans and I do have a marine attorney to review all the paperwork prior finalizing it if I decide to go in this direction but frankly speaking it makes me little nervous. The Attorney is suggesting to purchase the corporation for some reason with a agreement that I will not be responsibility for any leans / leases and so on and they personally will have to take care of it... I don't really understand it all but I did hire very well qualified and feedbacked marine attorney who is assisting with this. His family also owns a yacht brokerage company so he is watching my back well I guess :)

    These good looking tubs were originally destined for the good looking charter market. The original mfg web site pointed towards this.
    All know off the bat (but you); to be very leery of any tub that has been in the charter market.
    Rode hard, cheaply maintained, kept good looking and put away wet comes to mind.
    Plus it was a cheap tub that.

    Buy the corp??, (Oh, it's a corp boat??) This saves so much in the sellers taxes.
    Probably the only way you can get any relief to bring her up to personal use. Then she is still a corp boat you can't give away without some (new) sucker to buy the loosing corp.

    Dude, don't walk, run away...

    This is already a double (plus??) fools purchase.
    Go find a real boat to purchase.

    And the owners experience is exactly what???? Many owners think a 4' sea is an 8' sea. There aren't anyone complaining or asking about fixing Aicon's because they hardly built any boats and it's precisely the reason they went out of business. They sold a few, and feedback got around and nobody wanted to buy one. Why do you think it took 4 years to sell the boat you're looking at when it was new???? Yeah the economy was in the toilet, but 4 years is still a ridiculously long time to maintain a boat you're trying to sell, you're in the red when you sell it. But, enjoy!!!!!

    Well, so your wonderful attorney is saying purchase the BVI corporation and get a clause in the contract about liens. One problem. That clause only says the seller has to indemnify you. It doesn't protect you up front from obligations. I wouldn't purchase any corporation without extensive due diligence which would cost you more than any savings. I've purchased hundreds of businesses, but not one time have I purchased a corporation.

    Now, issue number two. It's flagged offshore. Do you understand the limitations of that? Requirements for taking out of the country and getting new cruising permits, limitations on hiring crew? It also likely means if you wanted to flag it in the US you'd have to pay 1.5% duty that has never been paid. Only reason to buy the corporation is to avoid paying to set up one and that just makes no sense to me. Maybe you should have your attorney to look up the lawsuits the owners have previously been involved in.

    Unlucky with the tire thing. No, no, no. Why do you keep buying such. I have some prime land in Collier County I'd love to sell you. Only can look at it in dry season though.
