Here is my 1974 Dory. My second '74 Dory in four years . Both identical 1974 boats ironically. Both same color and original windshield.

Very similar, nice boats, classic.

Yes original "Taylor Made" manufactured windshield that's who made them for Chris Craft . They were never dark, just a light tint to them . Although it looks pretty dark in the photo.
I also have the original steering wheel , Morse three spoke chrome (pitted now, lol) with the white rubber/foam around the wheel.
Thanks for the complement , but she is all original including the gel coat .
I haven't done much to her yet. Just some waxing and cleaning.
I did add my own black water line and red bottom paint .
I enjoy out running the marine police with her, here in Cape May ! Lol
She's fast and light, for a Dory , no T-Top and junk to weight her down. Pur bare bones boat. Just a compass and VHF radio, no depth meter or GPS , seems my other boat takes up all of my Dory money.

For what it’s worth . Been meaning to share this. My CC Dory is just like this. still bare bones . I did finally install a new GPS/Fishfinder. May be help to other.

I did remove , to me , the useless original chairs and installed two high/low self adjustable nice white butt seats. You can not see over the bow when you sit on the old chairs when get on and staying on plane.
These allow you to lower and raise the seat at will depending on the speed and sea conditions.
Also you'll loose your false teeth and wrist watch with me at the helm if you sat in such chairs...you need to stand and hold onto the "O.S." bar I've installed on the console front and enjoy the go....

My grandfather passed away this year and was the original owner of "Snowgoose" a 1977 C&C 22' Dory/Tournament Fisherman. My father took it over in the early 2000's and had it repowered with a Chevy small block Mercruiser. She has been sitting on land for the past 5 years or so. I would like to have her splashed this summer in his memory. So far I replaced the port riser, re-built the carb, replaced the gaskets and drained the fuel tank. Unfortunately 10/20 galleons of fuel sat in the aluminum tank and when I siphoned it out the tank showed signs of corrosion. I was thinking of using STAR BRITE Star Tron Fuel Tank Cleaner or replacing the tank. has anyone replaced the tank or point me in the right direction? I was also thinking of orientating the tank so it would create more of a bench seat... thoughts?
I am open to ANY AND ALL ADVICE moving forward from this group. Thanks

Why did you only replace the port riser? If one is bad, the other is right behind it. And, with a Mercruiser generally the manifolds and risers are replaced every 6 years.

I'm finally rewiring mine right now as we speak. DO NOT try to change up things! You have a great original boat. Chris - Craft put alot of time into the set up of this thing. This boat is small and very sensitive to weight gains and any change in the weight placement. Remove the fiberglass cover over the tank and give it a good look. look for any leaks. No leaks on need to replace IMO. Drain it pull it out and clean it out. It's not to heavy.
I had to replace mine cause the previous owner came up with the idea of two tanks set up. One 35 gallon tank in front of the engine , forward hatch area , and one 50 gallon ?aft bilge area just behind the console.
Where the tank use to be he cut out three doors and installed crappy shelving.
It was an absolute mess. It was the first thing I did. Replaced the 75 gallon tank and put it back where it belongs. You will see Chris Craft built a reinforced pad for the tank to sit on along with the fiberglass cover that goes over it. If you need to replace the tank. Use your old one as a template. Put everything back in the way it came out. You do not have much room from the aft tank cover to the two helm chairs, bench seating won't work out, IMO. I have two white deck chairs up against the aft tank cover and change out my two Captains seats with high/low pedestals and two white ''bass boat'' medium sized butt seats. This set up places you higher up at the helm so you can see much better and also stand up easily without having a chair get in your way, which it will. No room.
This give you seating and space to move four adults around from the console on aft. I can sit two adults on the ''engine block'' seat forward on the console. That's six adults seated which , IMO, is the most you can have on this boat.
Also if you do not have them already, trim tabs are a must have on this boat. Like I said, she is very sensitive to weight movement and placement. For example if you have two adults to port and one to starboard she will roll along listing to port side with out the tabs. With the tabs you can correct that and level up the boat. Even if It's just yourself running the boat you need to level it up with the tabs. I'm always tweaking my tabs , I have many various sized friends and family....
I'll post info on the tank, where I got mine . It's been great so far and they epoxy paint coat it. Going on 7 years.

The other must have been replaced out of sequence... pulled both of them one was free and clear the other looked like a nostril of a 80's rock star.
