Not sure but I wouldn't confirm or deny anything as Lurssen hasn't said anything to my knowledge.

I would hazard a guess that is correct information given there were representatives of both offices at the float out.

I would have assumed that the owners would have had a Alberto Pinto Interior.... Judging on their past Yachts.

The results of my yesterdays visit to Bremen

    01.JPG
Omar at the outfitting pier at Lürssen Aumund

    02.JPG
She looks darker in this picture as in reality, due to relatively low afternoon sun

    03.JPG
That is a very big looking boat. But still a good looking yacht and not a little cruise ship

    04.JPG
Some close ups for more details

    05.JPG
The wheelhouse is located on the upper deck, lessons learned from the former Dilbar. It is clearly visible, that the design of Omar/ Dilbar evolved from the owners experience with Omars older sister.

    Next set of pictures

    06.JPG
A lot of details and design features from the former Dilbar reappear on Omar but in a optimized manner.

    07.JPG
At least seven fully usable decks. A lot of volume to utilize.

    08.JPG

She looks pretty nice, both from the front quarter and from the rear. A true example, that a full SOLAS yacht does not have to be ugly or has to look like a passenger ship

    09.JPG
Her stern shows some new features besides those well known design features of the Lürssen Pelorus Class yachts.

    10.jpg
The stern covers 3 decks, the aft mooring decks will be covered with metal tubes like on the other Pelorus class boats. The big swimming pool on the aft main deck in combination with the glassed stern below including the deck area behind that big glassed area and above the stern platform is a new feature on Lürssen yachts. Looks nice. A boat of the size makes a designer really flexible.

And some more and some more details

    11.JPG
    12.jpg
The storage and launch area for the SOLAS life boat. Her covered name really shows her final name if you compare it with the present Dilbar

    13.jpg
Pretty convincing similarity, I would say

    14.jpg
Looks like a central engine vent and the rearward looking radar solves the all around looking capability problem of those big mast designs. Those dry exhaust stacks look like the typical Lürssen propulsion setup.

    15.jpg
A lot of fold out balkonies and hull doors. Those beefy cranes could already be seen on Azzam. Also Omar is sitting at the moment at least 2.5 feet above her CWL, it shows very sufficient freebord for her tender garages and platforms.

    Last set for today

    16.jpg
I believe, that Helicopter landing area could qualify for more than just a touch and go Helipad. Even I could land a Bell 407 on that tennis court. But I do not think, that those doors show a hangar. The height is insufficient for a helicopter.

    17.JPG
A nice looking boat. A little bit obscene in her size and volume but great looking. Paint sheme is very nice. The sand colour fits her nicely. Except for her propulsion train (I would have taken a full DE setup with Schottel Combi Drives and two Schottel Pumpjets) no much negatives from my side.

As stated before, not many yacht builders are capable of building a boat like this. That is what I would call a Gigayacht.

I bet, we will find a lot of my above pictures again on some other website within a few days. And they will not be published there by me.

Thanks for the photos. She is indeed really good looking! I wonder what is the purpose of those cranes on the aft maindeck.

So if I understand correctly, there is a raised pool on the aft main deck and below that there is another deck which is also behind the large glass panel in the stern?

The 110m "Dilbar" was now renamed "Ona". The owners had also renamed their first yacht "Ona" (now Natitia) when the 110m successor was launched.

MT puts her at 15,500 gross tons. Seems smaller than my expectation.

Just read that there is supposedly some dredging going on Antibes preparing her arrival. Altough I would call into question if she being 156m still fits into the IYCA.
