It was the flame job that sucked me in Actually found an alpha on cl for about 1/3 retail Really wanted 383 but it looked like shaft replacement too Turns out the alpha being a little detuned compared to the bravo matches the 427 hp as discussed in previous threads Higher rpm of course and less torque but opportunity knocked and had to open the door

I would install a seperate battery charger as well. With the charger/inverters if you lose shorepower and the batteries get below a certain voltage (21 volts on a 24 volt bank) the inverter/charger will usually not power on to charge the batteries.
Overkill or uber alles? Hmmm,..., Edison would be proud, only it kinda (from here) sounds like alot. My marine electrician (Clean Marine), and I use that term sparingly, recommended some Odessey high performance drycell AGM batteries.
