What are you RPM's now? Does the boat have an issue getting onto plane? Why do you want to increase diameter and reduce pitch? Increasing diameter will only help get the boat onto plane and possibly staying on plane at a slightly lower RPM, but you will have to decrease pitch and resultingly reduce speed across the entire rpm range.

The chart shows a Cummings engine used in some Offshore models. Does anyone know which diesel engine?

Top engine RPM is only 3000 rpms? What engines do you have? If you have gasoline that is way too low and you're running props that are too large. Most gas inboards of that era, top rpm was 4000-4400.

    Prop-Info

My orig prop info was on some brass tags nailed to the forward lip of the engine hatches. There is also a serial number on most props. Michigan Wheel can tell you what it is by the serial number.

Mine (37 AL Rivera) were replaced along the way as were the engines.
I have it written down but not handy tonite and will try to post later.

I have spent a lot of time with a spread sheet called prop-calc I found surfing the web.

I have found it to be the most useful tool in considering options from a layman's point of view and fooling around but I would consult with experts though at Michigan Wheel for final recommendations.

    Prop-Info

In looking up my info it seems to match the table Rapple provided.

The SN tags from my boat match at 4066 and 4067 which are for a 37' 1965 Aluminum Roamer Rivera 20x21x1 3/8 shaft.

Thanks Rapple for posting this table as this confirms what I assumed was the original engine config of 327F 210 hp w/ paragon 2.5:1 trans. My replacements by the PO are 3 blade dynajet bronze 21x22 and a GM350 reported to be 250 hp.

It seems this table is a bit older as it lists the 431 MEL but not the 427's which is what I am trying to approximate.

    Soon :)

    Hello!
according to the packing slip from 1966, there have been chris craft 426 300hp in our boat
so then the previous owner replace enginer and the propellers to 21x23 to Detroit diesel serie 8.2l she seems to go nicely with these 26 knots
Now I wait for the new ones these propellers are new jearsy and soon in my hand the season is almost over but I'll try them before we take the boat up

Hello My steel 37 has 427 side-oilers and the original props, she planes off at 2800 rpm every year I pull them because of all the dead heads that float in the St. Clair river and the pine river, and have them tuned up at smiths prop shop in Algonac MI which is a half hour from my house. I can get you the numbers this weekend if needed. Gravy
