  1. Third Nordhavn N80 Under Construction
Known as a builder of practical go-anywhere exploring yachts, Nordhavn has an extensive range of vessels. One of them is the N80 of which they are currently working at producing the third hull in this model. The Third N80 has design by Nordhavn with a collaboration with Vripack on the interior. Nordhavn has released renderings focused on the interior of the vessel and how the interior should be represented when completed in 2021.
  2. The interiors are modern with a Scandinavian chic touch and luxurious finishes. The social spaces are finished with herringbone-patterned wood floors to add luxe detail. Vripack has really created a specific look for the interior of the third hull and Nordhavn/PAE (Pacific Asian Enterprises) are happy with the result of the concept. "We are very excited about the new direction Vripack has gone with the interiors of Nordhavn 80 #3," said PAE Vice President Jim Leishman. "It allows us to serve the diverse style and tastes of our buyers", he continued.
  3. On this 80-foot vessel there is decent space spread across her three levels of internal decks. There is an open flybridge with the forward half of it shaded with a hardtop. No matter where you are onboard though, you are never too far from the galley, where human fuel awaits. It isn't a huge galley but it will definitely get the job done and it has the added feature of being able to serve from the galley directly to the bridge thanks to an opening in the wall. Bar stools are also on the other side of that low wall making it into bar-style eat-in. If you want to be more formal, there is the main dining room table just off the galley to seat a minimum of six.
  4. The yacht owners are very involved in the interior aspect of the yacht and are happy with the finished concept that Vripack created for them as reflected in these renderings. The principal room onboard is full-beam located in the hull but approaching where the hull starts to curve. The end bulkhead would finish just outside of the commencement of the bow curve to take advantage of as much space as possible. The space is complemented by three large vertical windows on either side of the hull. American Oak with a hand white wash, brushed brass elements and Wimbledon white walls feature in the space as they do throughout the boat.
  5. Other cabins in the vessel range from twin in bunk-bed arrangement to doubles but everyone will get a nice room as the finishes are applied to all spaces. Below we see an example of how well-appointed this double room should materialize in reality at the end of build. More-or-less the same materials utilized in the master suite can be found in this room as well.
  6. The bathrooms are also well-appointed with the owner sparing no expense. Carrara marble lines the wetted surfaces of the bathrooms giving a sleek and high-end finish to the space. The white also brightens the room making it feel more spacious than it is. Those brass elements are in here too on the tap and shower wear as well as hinges and other fine details.
  7. The Nordhavn N80 was revealed at the 2018 edition of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) and it is amazing how different this interior looks to the renderings that accompanied the N80 release in 2018. The N80 is able to accommodate up to eight guests in four cabins. There is provision to have two tender onboard, one on the foredeck and one upper aft deck, both areas are fitted with their own cranes.
