"Kalliente" Launches At Dominator Yachts
The new Dominator 27.5-meter Ilumen series is launched and called "Kalliente". The series is called Ilumen simply because of natural light-filled interiors. Naval Architecture has been kept in-house at Dominator Yachts with work done by Navalhead. Kalliente will be a sedate cruiser holding around 9,000 LT of fuel which will translate into a range of around 1,700 nautical miles at a constant 10-knots. Those twin MAN V8 1,200 HP engines can push her to a 21-knot top speed if needed. This Carbon Expoxy built yacht won't be a world cruiser on her own hull but she certainly can get you into almost any small, secluded and remote cove or bay where the water is very shallow. Atoll cruising might be very appealing with her shallow 1.6-meter draft...

More specifically the Sport 120 and Sport 140, the Classic 41-meter, 50-meter, 57-meter, and 65-meter, as well as the variants in the GT line which include a 43-meter, 50-meter, 57-meter and a 67-meter. The Sport 120 retains key features from the ISA 120 original model like the 'stairway to heaven' concept which floated a seamless line of stairs that ran from the swim platform to the upper deck...

182-meter Expedition, Research Superyacht By Espen Oeino
YF usually does not focus on yachts this size, we tend to cast our attention on smaller yachts that builders have a better chance of selling to a wider swath of the yachting public. However, once in a while when the opportunity presents itself we will look at insanely large superyachts. One example of this is this 181.6-meter expedition/research superyacht that has been ordered by a Norwegian billionaire. The design is by Espen Oeino and will be built between Norway and Romania. Ultimately, the VARD yard, a member of the Fincantieri will take the credit for the build...
