Horizon announces launch of PC58 yacht
The first Horizon PC58, a new model of luxury power catamaran was launched in August. The anticipated launch has created a buzz in the industry and amongst potential cat owners who are all keen to view the finished product. With over 630 custom built luxury yachts to Horizon's credit, the PC58 is further testament to Horizon's expansion in the luxury yacht market. John Lu, the CEO of Horizon Group says, “We are all very proud of this new yacht, and thank the entire team at Horizon Yachts for all their hard work!”
The PC58 offers amenities, luxury, space and privacy normally only found on much larger motor yachts, but at a far lower entry level. Add to this her smooth, stable and comfortable ride with high fuel efficiency and it truly makes for an incredible cruising yacht.
Top speed on the new vessel is 25 knots with cruising at around 20 knots...
Eurocraft completes 44-meter "Baron Trenck" Explorer megayacht
The "Baron Trenck" is the name of the 44-meter Eurocraft explorer that was under construction. The Italian yard is proud to announce the completion of the explorer project.
The arguably stylish explorer yacht was built in both steel and aluminum to RINA class also complying with MCA stipulations. Baron Trenck is actually the first of this type of explorer yacht from Eurocraft. A second is currently under construction at the moment.
As an explorer one would immediately conjur thoughts of endurance. Her top speed is around 14 knots. Power is supplied via twin MTU 12V 2000 M60 engines. Endurance will be realized when she is throttled back with an astounding 9,000 nautical miles possible.
On the interior, Baron Trenck is able to sleep ten guests. A master, VIP, double and two twins are available for guests...

DashewOffshore presents FPB115 Explorer yacht
This new and slightly different yacht is an all-purpose, rugged explorer yacht from DashewOffshore. The FPB115 is the latest in a range of long distance and tough motoryachts meant for exploring the world's oceans and destinations.
The FPB 115 is a natural evolution in the FPB Series. Preliminary numbers indicate better efficiency than her smaller sisters. She has trans-ocean range at 12.5 knots/300 nautical miles per day, and given her increased size she will be even more comfortable than the FPB 83. The FPB 115 is available in a variety of configurations, all based on a standard structural plan and common systems.
This no-nonsense yacht has a range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots using 300 Horse Power 'John Deere' 6068SF M50 diesel engines. With these engines, top speed is dialed in at 14.5 knots in half-load conditions...
Newcruise showcases 60-meter 'Touch' superyacht concept design
The guest accommodation onboard the 60-meter yacht will include guest rooms on the lower deck, two VIP-type cabins and a spacious master stateroom on the bridge deck. The design is by Newcruise Design out of Hamburg Germany.
The 'Touch 60' concept as it is being called was designed with practical benefits in consideration. Practical benefits such as ease of berthing and cost effectiveness in accommodation layouts. The yacht was scaled back to 60-meters with Mediterranean berhing in mind. Yacht berthing for large yachts are less available in the region so it was more practical to deisgn a slightly smaller platform.
Also from a cost effective standpoint, the design allows for stateroom accommodation to be switched around to represent different categories. In other words, the VIPs can quickly become owners suites or vice versa to allow for easy sharing...
Mis Tor Yachts presents 110 Schooner
A new three-masted schooner has emerged from the Turkish company Mis Tor Yachts. She would be built in steel and aluminum to RINA class. Plenty of deck space is available on this platform.
The interior set up will be done in such a way that accommodation would allow for six staterooms to sleep up to twelve guests comfortably. Top speed should be in the region of 14 knots with two 400 HP engines...
Pearl 75-foot long motoryacht
The Pearl Motoryacht company is on course with the construction of their 75-foot motoryacht, the new flagship of the Pearl motoryacht line. For those of you who knew of the Pearl 50 and 60 variants, the 75-footer will be of interest. She will be offering some of the same loved features and more on a larger and more spacious platform.
The Pearl 75-footer is to be powered by 1,250hp MTUs and pushed by ZF4000pods. An anticipated range is in the region of 350-nautical miles. The interior design is by British interior designer Kelly Hoppen. The Pearl 75 can be expected to be completed in early 2012. As for Pearl motoryachts, they are due to display the Pearl 60 model at the Cannes and Southampton boat shows in September...
Team4Design showcases 'Ketos' 53M concept superyacht
Another 'Ketos' superyacht project has emerged from the boards of Team4Design. This time the luxury project is a 53-meter variant. Earlier this year YF alerted you to a smaller variant of the Ketos in the 40-meter range.
The new 53-meter Ketos project is designed by Enrico Gobbi of Team4Design. The 48-meter variant which is under construction at the Rossi Navi yard in Viareggio, is the platform for this new project. More space was needed onboard -in rationale- and so a new and larger project was developed to flesh out that idea.
However, the design had to remain very sleek and sexy. A very beautiful design variant emerged as a result. On the interior the connection to the sea is evident. Vast glazed areas are apparent and the addition of fold down bulwarks and balconies extend the idea further, making communion with the sea easy...
RMK 4500 megayacht nearing completion
RMK Marine has a 45-meter megayacht under construction that is nearing completion at their yard facilities in Tuzla. The vessel is anticipated to be on course for an early 2012 delivery. The 'long distance'-cruising megayacht is designed by Ron Holland.
Design Unlimited were responsible for creating the extremely comfortable interior design. The interior is dominated by a palette of neutral earth tones, easy on the eye and creates a subtle and enjoyable atmosphere when lit by task and accent lighting.
The RMK 4500 is expected to enter the charter market at some point after completion. With that in mind, we should take a look at her accommodation. The set up is for twelve guests in six sumptuous staterooms. The arrangement is broken down with a master, VIP and four guest cabins to total the six rooms. Enough cabins are available for 11 crew members. The new RMK Marine vessel is currently for sale...

Rossi Navi 55-meter superyacht
Several new projects have come to the fore at Rossi Navi, the Italian yard responsible for the build of 70-meter "Numptia". Currently offered for sale, one of these projects is a 55-meter displacement superyacht. Beautiful lines are evident as she follows similar contours in design to the aforementioned Numptia and the "South", also built by Rossi Navi.
The 55-meter is very balanced in design, well proportioned across her decks. Ample room is provided on her aft exterior decks where outdoor furniture can be easily set up to a minimalist theme. Sizable jacuzzi is located on the the forward end of the sundeck, flanked by sunpadded region.
Large and purposely positioned windows dominate the yacht's structure reminding us of the intent to keep the connection to the sea available. Tender garages are located aft in the hull on the lower deck serviced by fold up shell doors...
Newcastle Marine launches 181-foot "Harbour Island" superyacht
The long awaited Newcastle Marine 180' project is now launched. The new superyacht -christened with the name "Harbour Island"- is now Newcastle's largest build to-date. The bespoke superyacht is expected to appear on the charter market after completion.
Harbour Island is set up to host guests in six staterooms including not one but two master suites. Exterior styling of Harbour Island is by Murray and Associates while the interior Claudette Bonville Associates went to work.
Classification is ABS Maltese Cross A1 YS, AMS with MCA certification. She is powered by a pair of CAT 3512B marine engines. Her beam is around 34-feet with her 181-foot length. Tonnage is estimated to be just over 900 GRT.
When Harbour Island completes trials and final works she will be delivered and make her public debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS)...
Mariotti Yachts 55-meter "Geo"
The 55-meter "Geo" is a new build yacht currently offered for sale. She is an explorer type superyacht will great range and capability. Her design has been penned by the well-known Luca Dini. This design firm is also tasked with the interior design of the Geo.
Geo is expected to be built to ABS class and feature MTU diesel engines each with around 2,700 HP. The range on the explorer will be in the region of 5,000 nautical miles. Her layout will offer the ability to sleep twelve guests in six well-appointed staterooms. Delivery can be expected sometime in 2014...
Heesen completes 47-meter "Ariadna" megayacht
Dutch builder Heesen also finished up with the delivery of the 47-meter displacement yacht "Ariadna". She is all-white with dark masked windows giving her the contemporary yet sleek and individualistic appeal. Ariadna is the seventh hull in the well known and award-winning 47-meter Series by Heesen.
Built under hull ID 15347 the yacht has naval architecture in-house at Heesen. The interior work has been described as being classically Moscow Ritz-Carlton flavoured. The layout of some of the suites is a little unusual to the norm. The master is located aft on the Upper Deck while the VIP is forward on the main deck. Other guest cabins take up position on the lower deck.
Technically speaking now, Ariadna features dual MTU engines. Twin MTU 8V 4000 M70s with the ability to run her at approximately 15.5-knots...
Benetti finishes 65-meter "Seanna" superyacht
Top Italian luxury yacht manufacturer Benetti completed another one of their larger projects recently. She is the 65-meter luxury yacht christened as "Seaanna", a near sister to the "Silver Angel". Seanna was launched back in June while another large Benetti in "Lyana" was launched in May.
Seanna is a displacement superyacht with build hull ID FB 254. Naval Architecture on the new luxury yacht came by Benetti as expected. The interior styling was done by Redman Whiteley Dixon. Her design is clearly reminiscent of Silver Angel and "Lionheart" which were designed by Stefano Natucci.
The 65-meter motor yacht was built in steel and aluminum, strong steel hull and lighter aluminum for the superstructure. Seanna although similar to the two aforementioned yachts has some cosmetic changes visible to the attentioned eye...
Feadship launches fifth F45 megayacht "Helix"
Dutch yacht manufacturer Feadship just launched the latest megayacht in the F45 line. Her name is "Helix" and she is all-white, looking similar to the first F45 hull, "Space". Launched at the Feadship Royal Van Lent yard she is a spectacle to behold in her gleaming white finish.
Sharing spectacular finishing and detailed work much like her sisters, she is beautiful all around. On the interior, the major difference can be seen. Helix is the first of the F45's to feature the 'Nautical' themed interior.
The design of Helix is by De Voogt Naval Architects in conjunction with Sinot Design Associates. On the interior the 'Nautical' theme echoes luxuriousness with light cream coloured fabric walls and mahogany for distinct contrast. Guests are slept in five staterooms...
Galeon finishes 780 Crystal motoryacht
Galeon yacht builder have recently launched the flagship of their line, the 780 Crystal motoryacht. Naval Architecture has been drawn up by Tony Castro Naval Architects creating a fast and comfortable platform for owner and guest alike.
Speak of guests, the 780 Crystal has accommodation to serve and sleep eight delighted guests. Overall the design is sleek and stylish with sweeping curves keeping things interesting. Relaxation space on the exterior is abundant with padded regions all over the boat. To the fore on the bow there is soft seating and an accompanying small table to rest your cocktail.
Sunpadded region is also on the flybridge for those who need a higher vantage point. Another is on the bow to the fore of the small table aforementioned. Galeon is expected to appear at the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show (MYS)...
Hyundai Yachts introduce Asan 62' motoryacht
Hyundai Yachts showcases another model in their line, the Asan 62-foot motoryacht. The new vessel features a design by Bill Prince Yacht Design stretching from stem to stern with purpose.
A maximum beam in the region of 5.64-meters help offer a roomy interior that is as spacious as on slightly larger vessels than the Asan 62. Very small draft of just 1.47-meters allows for near-shore excursions without worry. The Asan 62, is powered by Volvo IPS 900s. Hyundai Yachts suggests she carries approximately 5,300 LT of fuel and 950 LT of water.
Spaces onboard include a sky lounge just aft of the bridge, three staterooms are there to sleep guests who comes aboard. Three heads also accompany those rooms with an extra one located on the sky lounge area. The exterior design is simple yet accent details draw in the eye...
Northern Marine launches 64-foot "Aquila" Expedition
The newly launched Expedition yacht from Northern Marine is hull number 6410, indicating that she is the tenth 64-footer in the series. She was christened with a name taken straight out of Greek mythology, "Aquila".
