Incat 37-meter Catamaran "Pharsara"​

A 37-meter motor yacht designed by Incat Crowther is currently in the final stages of construction. In fact the "Phatsara" is almost ready to launch from her facilities. The idea behind the project was to create a yacht with large family ownership in mind. The hull and superstructure has been built in the latest technology from High Modulus. Phatsara is a twin hulled motor yacht, making her a catamaran and she can be easily converted for charter or luxury dive use.

Phatsara boasts extensive accommodation for both family, guests and crew members. Looking at the whole situation Phatsara offers accommodation to 13-guests in five cabins with additional casual berths. There are enormous entertainment and outdoor areas giving the owners high flexibility in its usage...

Holland Jachtbouw launches 40-meter J-class yacht "Rainbow"​

Right on cue the 40-meter J-class "Rainbow" launched from the facilities at Holland Jachtbouw on February 17, 2012. She is a racing yacht but will still have creature & luxury comforts. Rainbow will feature a 1930's styled interior with mahogany standing out as the main wood used. Six guests and seven crew will be hosted onboard.

Rainbow JH2 has been re-designed by Dykstra & Partners Naval Architects according to the original design of William Starling Burgess, but now constructed in aluminum with carbon mast and rigging and 3-DL racing sails. Rainbow JH2 will be built and fitted for racing against the existing and new J-class boats in accordance with the J-class Association rules...

Gulf Craft delivers latest Majesty 121 megayacht​

The latest Gulf Craft Majesty 121-footer has been completed and delivered to her owners. She is the fifth hull in the series and is all white with vivid blue accent color scheme. The newly delivered luxury yacht is currently moored in the Emirates Palace Hotel Marina in Abu Dhabi.

The interiors have been richly decorated in solid white oak, American cherry and bamboo veneers, with Azul Bahia granite and Botticcino Royale marble countertops and interior wall cladding. The soft furnishings feature a generous amount of leather finishings, maximizing the comfort and elegance of the interior spaces.

Speaking of interior spaces, the luxury yacht boasts a saloon, dining area, pantry and lobby. For the accommodation guests have a luxurious VIP cabin on the main deck, in addition to the owner's room, two twin guest rooms, a double guest room...

27.5-meter fast Explorer new order at Vismara​

The new Vismara 90-footer is an evolution and continuation of the Vismara 68' Navetta. However, the owner threw in some special requests. The brief was that the vessel should provide the safety and range of an explorer-type yacht, it should be a fast platform with great seakeeping characteristics.

On the interior the Vismara 27.5-meter yacht will be able to accommodate eight guests in four cabins along with four crew. Performance wise, she is expected to have a top speed of 35-knots as calculated. Cruising speed is estimated at 25-knots with a handy 1,000 nautical mile range. She will be using two 850 horse power CAT marine engines. She can cruise even slower and offer a higher range while consuming less fuel. Launching is expected to be in the Spring of 2014...

Rossi Navi 45-meter "Aslec 4" mega yacht nearing completion​

Italian Yard Rossi Navi is nearing completion on one of their new yachts. It is the 45-meter "Aslec 4" which is expected to launch next month according to schedule. Aslec 4 bears design by Studio Spadolini and boasts expansive open deck spaces for her size.

This new Motor Yacht is a semi-displacement mega yacht characterized by wide external aft spaces and by a distinguishing vertical stem. With steel hull and marine grade aluminum superstructure, this Motor Yacht is equipped with two Caterpillar engines, type 3508 C DITA/SWAC each one rated 1.300 hp, that provide a top speed in excess of 16 knots and a cruising speed at ½ load of 15 knots.

Accommodation wise she will host up to twelve guests and seven crew members...

Lazzara delivers 28-meter "Algorythm" megayacht​

United States yacht builder Lazzara Yachts has delivered the latest member of the LSX92 series. She is called "Algorythm" and was handed over at the end of 2011. Eight guests can be accommodated in four staterooms while four crew members see after the operation of the yacht and the needs of guests.

Speaking of guests, the Algorythm is open for charter since being delivered. This latest unit is different from the other LSX92's because of her extended sundeck. The open sundeck is sigificantly larger with the extra length. Additionally, there is a larger hardtop to provide shade. Algorythm is powered by four Volvo IPS with a top cruising speed of 28-knots.

Lurssen 86.5-meter superyacht "ACE" launches​

German custom superyacht manufacturer Lurssen recently launched their first superyacht for 2012. She is the 86.5-meter superyacht called 'Project Rocky' under construction and now has her final name, "ACE". ACE was launched on Monday January 9, 2012 at Lurssen.

ACE has both her interior and exterior designed by esteemed and world renowned designer Andrew Winch. The interior is described as being classical in styling and decor and is also very spacious with her 14.5-meter (47.5-feet) overall beam. Additionally she has a 4-meter draft.

ACE is powered by dual MTU 16V 4000 engines. She also has three MTU generators for electrical production onboard. The accommodation is set out for twelve guests in six spacious staterooms. ACE will carry thirty crew members.

Nordhavn delivers 68' "Rest Assured" motor yacht​

P.A.E. didn’t wait long to celebrate its first Nordhavn christening of the year, and this festive event took place January 6th to the sounds of bells ringing and one stubborn bottle unwilling to ceremoniously break on cue. Nordhavn 68 hull #22 "Rest Assured" was handed over to her owners Jim and Jane Slattery, who were thrilled to take delivery and eager to celebrate with their son Mike, close friends, their captain and the P.A.E. gang.

In the meantime, they will enjoy Rest Assured and spend 2012 getting some crucial Nordhavn miles underfoot. It’s a task they wasted no time in tackling. The day following the christening, Jim and Mike Slattery, Captain Dustin, and the Slattery’s salesman, Paul Hutton from Nordhavn’s southwest sales office, left for Mexico...

Amels launch first LE180 superyacht "Step One"​

The latest yacht has just been launched at the Dutch yacht facilities of Amels. Overall she is the second Amels superyacht to be launched for 2012 thus far, following the launching of the second Limited Editions 212 (hull 6502), "Sea Rhapsody". The new yacht just launched is the first in the Limited Editions 180 series, a longer version of the LE171.

The new LE180 is called "Step One" and was sold by ***** Yacht & Ship. Not surprisingly, Step One is designed by Tim Heywood while the interior is by Laura Sessa. Since Step One is the first member of the newly extended series, she has a few new features.

There is a touch-and-go helipad on the roof of the bridge. There is also a fold-down balcony to the master stateroom that is located on the main deck. Accommodation overall is for twelve in six cabins...

Nordhavn introduces 52' Coastal Pilot​

Noting the continued demand for the unique Nordhavn 35 Coastal Pilot, PAE has been quietly working on a new Coastal Pilot of 52 feet. Designed as an elegant, highly capable coastal cruiser, the new 52 will offer semi displacement cruising speed and efficiency along with the safety and capability sought after by the serious cruiser. With a cruising speed between eight and fifteen knots and a range in excess of 1,000 nautical miles, aside from major ocean crossings, this rugged new Nordhavn can fulfill the most ambitious of cruising dreams.

This new live aboard design can be operated primarily by a cruising couple but also provide exceptional long term accommodations for two guests and overnight bunks for two or three more...

Trinity Yachts launch 50-meter superyacht "Tsumat"​

Trinity Yachts is pleased to announce its first launch of 2012 called motor yacht "Tsumat", a 164’ (49.9m) Tri-Deck custom built superyacht with aluminum hull and superstructure. A draft of less than 8’ (<2.4m) at half load is one of Trinity Yachts’ marvels of superyacht engineering given a 164’ (49.9m) length—the Tsumat motor yacht manoeuvres easily in shallow-water destinations. Christensen sells 160-foot Custom Series superyacht​

Christensen Shipyards is pleased to announce the signing of a contract for a Custom 160’ Series project. The new Custom Series was sold to Mr. Donald A. Burns, a previous owner of the 120’ Christensen M/Y "Cacique". Mr. Burns is the 20th client to return to Christensen for a new yacht. This vessel will be one of the first US flagged yachts with the capabilities of commercial charter in Europe for up to 12 passengers. Mr. Burns’ yacht will be completed for delivery in September 2013.

The luxury 160’ vessel will showcase an elegant, clean and contemporary interior, designed by Tonya Lance of VARO Interior Design. Architectural features will include custom tailored woodwork and exotic stone surfaces fabricated exclusively by Christensen’s in-house team of experienced craftsmen...

90-meter "Illusion" superyacht under construction​

Work has started on a 90-meter superyacht in China. She was designed under the name Project "Illusion" with the design firm being Rainsford Mann Design. The design originally started as an 88-meter superyacht but the global economic crisis halted the completion of the design in 2007.

However, when the slow recovery to the world economy started, the design was completed and emerged as a 90-meter. Building commenced in essence at the end of 2010. The design according to Rainsford Mann Design has its cues from a high-end vehicle in the automotive industry, the Rolls Royce.

Time spent studying various Rolls Royce models allowed the design firm to incorporate the car design into the yacht design thereby capturing the ethos of the design. Not surprisingly the engine-package is by a pair of 3,000 horse power Rolls Royce diesels providing an envisioned top speed between 18 and 20-knots...

Construction starts on Dubois-Designed Feadship 46-meter megayacht​

Design number 386 at Dubois Naval Architects got underway in construction recently at the Feadship De Vries yard. Design number 386 is a sleek 46-meter megayacht with cutting-edge and current design aspects.

The vessel's interior has been designed by world renown firm Redman Whiteley Dixon while the design is by Dubois Naval Architects. The keel laying ceremony for design 368 took place yesterday at De Vries Shipyard. Malcolm McKeon of Dubois Naval Architects began the weld on the 46m motoryacht now in build at Feadship.

Now in build for a launch in 2013, she has an efficient, semi-displacement hull with a long waterline, featuring full-length side decks and glazed side panels in the bulwarks to give the owner’s cabin uninterrupted views. The big fixed hardtop with sliding side screens is a signature feature, along with huge hull windows for the four guest cabins below...

Balk Shipyard launches 36.4-meter "Lars" Explorer​

During the weekend Balk Shipyard re-launched the newly re-designed Explorer yacht 36.4-meter "Lars". She bears new design by Felix Buytendijk inside and out. This vessel started life as a tug built in 1995, however, since then and more recently has been converted into a rugged luxury yacht platform.

The yacht now goes by the name Lars and represented into a platform that offers significant range for her size. Her range can be just under 6,500 nautical miles and lesser range of 3,500 nautical miles. A new CAT marine engine has been installed.

Other features added to Lars in the major transformation included integrated swim platform, redesigned superstructure that shows off a new sundeck. Additional spaces are three cabins for guests and a master stateroom for the owner, dining area, fitness area, lounge and saloon. Accommodation is also set out for five crew members...

ISA's 41-meter 'Classic' yacht​

The new 41-meter 'Classic' yacht by ISA has been born out of the 39-meter platform. She is spread over three decks and is a displacement motor yacht. Like the others in the new series developed by ISA she is to be built in steel and aluminum with design by Andrea Vallicelli.

Four guest cabins are on hand to sleep guests in with the owner in their master suite to round out the acommodation for ten. This new vessel is currently under construction and will be launched in early Summer 2013. She is to be driven by a pair of CAT C-18s with top speed expected to be 14-knots...

ISA's 66-meter 'Granturismo' superyacht​

ISA's new 66-meter 'Granturismo' has been developed from the 65-meter GT platform. The full displacement custom superyacht is the first model in the newly launched GT range. She is a four-deck luxury yacht to be built in steel and aluminum.

Accommodation will be in six cabins and staterooms. The spacious master stateroom and five other guest cabins for twelve guests overall exist for their accommodation. The 66-meter features design by Andrea Vallicelli.

Top speed via twin CAT engines will be 18-knots with a dialed-back cruising speed of 16-knots. The aggressive plum bow and her refined and sleek aft lines will make her an ICON YACHT in her segment. Delivery of the ISA 66M GT is expected in early Summer 2014...

Amels launch second LE212 "Sea Rhapsody" superyacht​

Dutch yacht manufacturer Amels starts the new year with a major launch. She is the second hull in the Limited Edition 212 series called "Sea Rhapsody". The near 65-meter long yacht boats a beam of 11.88-meters and a draft at full load of 3.85-meters.

Sea Rhapsody is built in steel and aluminum, weighing in at near 1,503-tonnes. She is Lloyds Register as well as MCA compliant with the ability to carry up to fourteen guests and sixteen crew members. This high-volume superyacht has Naval Architecture by Amels with design by Tim Heywood Designs.

She is a twin-screw displacement yacht with top speed in the region of 17-knots and cruising at 13-knots. The range is expected to be 5,000 nautical miles with 155,000 capacity fuel tanks onboard. Just as a reminder, this hull is 6502. The first hull in the series was 6501, christened as "Imagine".

ISA 54-meter Project 'Panorama' superyacht​

Italian yacht builder ISA unveiled a number of new models recently, the 54-meter project 'Panorama' is one of these new models. The sale of this new model materialized thanks to Fernando Nicholson of Camper Nicholson and so this new luxury yacht is currently in-build for delivery in Summer 2014.

Panorama is a custom steel and aluminum displacement superyacht designed by Horacio Bozzo with interior design by Studio Massari. The new yacht bears numerous features inside and out. Starting with the owner's deck, there is a balcony that is accessible from their stateroom. Additionally, there is a large aft deck terrace.

Foldable bulwarks exist down on the main deck in the area of the main saloon to provide undisturbed views to the exterior. All guest decks are connected via a glass elevator and this is inclusive of service to the flybridge...
