Latest Amer 92' motoryacht launches
A few days ago the latest Amer 92-foot motoryacht launched in Viareggio, Italy. In fact she is the ninth hull in that series to have been launched and overall the second launch for Permare in 2012, the first being "Il Gattopardo" earlier this year.
The new Amer 92 will be on show at the Genoa Boat Show. Permare will also be present at the Cannes Boat Show. The Amer 92's top speed is in the region of 32+ knots with cruising near 27-knots. The vessel itself was designed in-house at the yard as well as Massimo Verme. On the interior, she sleeps up to eight in four cabins. Delivery of the latest Amer 92-foot motoryacht is expected to be soon.

Yachting Developments launch 27.43-meter sportfish yacht "Satu"
The near 27.5-meter sport fishing yacht "Satu" was recently launched at the Yachting Developments yard in New Zealand. The yacht will be finished in time as she is to be displayed at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) in October.
The interior was developed by Robinson Marine and comfortably sleeps up to six guests in 3 cabins. Top speed is supposed to be in the region of 33-knots. while being driven by a pair of 2400 HP MTU engines. Following Satu's sea trials, she will be shipped to Florida...
New 125-foot RPH "Gigi II" by Hargrave
The brand new "Gigi II" from Hargrave is now completed and is expected to be on show at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS). The 125-foot Raised Pilot House yacht bears design by J.B. Hargrave Yacht Design and interior work by Shelley DiCondina.
A few noticable features include a jacuzzi on the sundeck, plentiful seating forward of the hot tub as well as secondary navigation up front on the sundeck. There's also a hardtop to provide some shade. She is powered by twin C-32 engines with a top speed of 19-knots and cruising 15-knots. The 125-foot yacht has a beam of 25-feet and a draft of 7-feet. Benetti Yachts deliver Delfino 93' "Ocean Drive" megayacht
Italian yard Benetti Yachts recently delivered a Delfino 93-foot megayacht named "Ocean Drive". She is one of two Delfino yachts launched and delivered by Benetti in 2012 so far and was hull BD003 in that Delfino line. The other 93-foot yacht is called "Azul".
Stefano Righini is behind the design of Ocean Drive and is based off the same Delfino model that internationally debuted at the 2010 edition of the Festival de la Plaisance in Cannes, France. On the interior, Ocean Drive takes on ten guests in the comfortable atmosphere developed by Carlo Galeazzi. She was recently spotted in U.S waters delivered to her U.S owners. Ocean Drive runs at approximately 14-knots and has a range in the region of 1,500 nautical miles at cruising speed.

H2-designed 120-meter superyacht in build
Appreciated London-based superyacht design firm H2 Yacht Design has a large yacht bearing their design work under construction with launching expected later this year. The superyacht is in the region of 120-meters LOA and is taking shape in a European yard, supposedly a Greek yard. H2 Yacht Design were commissioned to design this vessel back in 2009 and now the process of construction is nearly finalized.
The new large superyacht will feature many sought-after relaxation and luxury spaces. The yacht will accommodate 54 passengers in total luxury and is therefore being constructed to full SOLAS regulations. Despite this, H2 have developed a modern but luxurious interior, providing its guests with every conceivable facility including a large nightclub, fully equipped spa, business centre, computer room, games room, gym, private dining room, sushi bar and a full cinema...
Lurssen launches the 85-meter superyacht "Quattroelle"
German custom superyacht manufacturer Lurssen launched their latest superyacht this morning from their Rendsberg facilities. An 85-meter superyacht bearing the name "Quattroelle" was towed away from the shed and we can confirm that this is the superyacht under construction as Project "Bellissimo".
In September 2010, her keel was laid initiating construction. By June 2011, the world saw a glimpse of what she would look like when the Bellissimo project was transferred for finishing. The superyacht boasts five decks above the waterline featuring a design by Nuvolari & Lenard. Twelve guests will be slept in six staterooms. Bilgin Yachts completes 160-foot "M&M" classic yacht
The Bilgin 160-foot Gentleman's Classic Yacht is now completed ahead of her international debut at the Cannes Boat Show in September. Her final name is now "M&M" following another vessel completed by them a few months ago called "M".
A quick synopsis of the vessel is she provides accommodation for as many as twelve guests in six cabins. Moonen delivers 82' Alu yacht "My Way"
The new Moonen 82 "My Way" was recently handed over to its owners at Moonen Shipyards in the Netherlands. My Way was built for Russian clients who have been very involved in the entire process. Delivered exactly as planned, the yacht easily surpassed her specified speed of 25-knots in sea trials.
The owner of the new Moonen 82 Alu had previously owned a GRP motoryacht and his experiences had convinced him that speed was nothing without comfort. He approached Moonen to commission a 'fast displacement' yacht at the same time as the yard was developing a new range of aluminum vessels called the Alu-series, the first of which was the Moonen 94 Alu "Nilo".

Maiora launches Maiora 29-meter yacht “Efficient Propulsion”
Maiora yachts have launched their latest yacht to date, a member of the Maiora 29-meter family. The yacht was recently launched in Italy at their Viareggio facilities. The new all-white megayacht boasts a name that is as simple yet pertinent to her type, “Efficient Propulsion”.
This Maiora 29 has an interesting propulsion system that allows her further efficient running. This fact obviously had significant bearing on the name chosen for the yacht. Efficient Propulsion features pods with contra-spinning propellers that apparently reduce the consumption of fuel by as much as 30-percent compared to if she had conventional screw arrangement.
On the inside, Efficient Propulsion offers guest accommodation for at least eight in an owner’s stateroom, a VIP-type cabin and two twin cabins...
Cantieri di Pisa launches 46.5-meter ‘Project 12’ megayacht
The latest yacht from Cantieri di Pisa has been launched. She is the 46.5-meter megayacht known as ‘Project 12’ when under construction. The new yacht has been built to ABS and is also MCA compliant. In fact, Project 12 is now being offered for sale and charter.
The interior design of Project 12 is the work of Mark Berryman. Whether being used for charter or private set up, Project 12 will have the room to sleep guests. As many as seven cabins are available onboard if needed. The larger of the cabins are staterooms in the form of a master and a VIP. Two double and two twin cabins are also onboard each with pullman berthing. Top performance is also expected with a pair of MTU engines below decks outputting over 4,600 horse power each...
The first Lazzara LSX95 has been sold
The first Lazzara LSX95 has been sold to a client who is no stranger to owning Lazzara yachts. In fact this will be his third yacht from the American yacht manufacturer and arguably the best of the lot. The recent sale means that the owner will get their hands on the first LSX95 model that is currently under construction and will be delivered in 2013.
New improvements will be seen on the LSX95 model including a larger and longer fly-bridge. A custom hardtop shades the forward half of the fly while the aft is fully open. Jacuzzi, bar and seating are available on this deck as well. The interior on the main deck will also be a bit more spacious with the absence of the lower helm station. We can expect this yacht to launch around this same time in 2013.

CMB Yachts launch 47-meter megayacht Orient Star
CMB Yachts tops their largest composite yacht built, the 46-meter “Mystic” with the launching of their latest megayacht, the 47-meter “Orient Star”; she is now officially one of the largest composite-built yachts in Europe. While under construction, CMB Yachts gave her the name “Mina” but now it is clear that her final name is Orient Star upon launching.
With a top speed of 17-knots, Orient Star isn’t a slouch thanks to her dual MTU 12V 2000 M72 series engines. The megayacht has an efficient range at significantly slower speeds of 4,000 nautical miles. In the private spaces onboard, Orient Star sleeps up to twelve guests in a Master Stateroom and four other suites on the lower deck. Dockwise Yacht Transport Partners with New Zealand Millennium Cup
Dockwise Yacht Transport (DYT), the world's largest yacht transport and logistics provider, has announced its partnership with the New Zealand Millennium Cup to offer to offer an attractive discount on southbound shipping for the 2013 as well as 2014 and 2015 editions of the popular superyacht event.
The discounted DYT voyage for 2013 will sail from Palma de Mallorca, Spain at the end of November and stop in Le Marin (Martinique), Port Everglades (Florida) and Golfito (Costa Rica) in December before arriving in Auckland in perfect time for the regatta's February 14 start.

Blaze at McMullen & Wing damages 50-meter expedition yacht "Star Fish"
In the early hours of Sunday morning 12 August 2012, fire fighters were called to McMullen & Wing’s premises in Auckland New Zealand to find the 50m steel/aluminium motor yacht "Star Fish" ablaze in the shipyard’s largest construction hall. Star Fish, under construction for Aquos Yachts, is the successor to the multi-award winning 45m luxury expedition yacht "Big Fish", built for the same owner. Star Fish was nearly two-and-a-half years into her three year build programme, with structural fabrication finished, coating systems well progressed, mechanical systems nearing completion, electrical and electronic systems well advanced and her spectacular interior fitout mid-way through installation. Star Fish is McMullen & Wing’s largest project to date. As a completed vessel, Star Fish would have a completed value in excess of NZ$50 million...
Latest 34-meter Leopard hull launches (hull 18)
At the start of August, the latest 34-meter express yacht from Leopard launched in Italy. This was the technical launch of the 18th hull in the 34-meter series by Leopard. This particular 34-meter yacht has an interior by a firm called Luxury Projects. On the other hand the vessel was built to satisfy the stipulations of Bureau Veritas.
A brief synopsis of the standard 34-meter Leopard says that the model is built in Kevlar composite and fiberglass. The design itself is by Andre Bacigalupo. All 100-tonnes of yacht are propelled by 2,400 horsepower engines tied to three hydrojet propellers. With the Leopard 34-meter, you are looking at a top speed near 45-knots...
Cantiere delle Marche delivers 82' explorer yacht "Furst 60"
In keeping with the explorer yacht theme, another yacht of the type has been recently delivered. This time, by Cantiere delle Marche, the new yacht is an 82-foot custom-built explorer called "Furst 60". The Italian yard CDM delivered the new yacht in July.
Furst 60 features a single Moteurs Baudouin engine for power. Additionally there is a special feature in an 'if all fails then take me home' system that will ensure you a trip back to port. Her dark hull contrasts with her white superstructure much like her small size takes on big weather conditions. A cool feature -literally- is the ability of one of the guest cabins to convert into cold or dry storage. Cantieri Navali Chioggia Ocean King 88 explorer yacht "Irie Man"
The latest yacht from Cantieri Navali Chioggia (CNC) has been completed. She is an Ocean King 88-foot yacht called "Irie Man" built on a tug-like platform. Irie Man was built using steel in the construction of the hull and aluminum for the superstructure. The 88-foot long-range explorer yacht has a beam in the region of 8-meters and a comfortable draft of 2.40-meters.
The interior throughout is light and airy thanks to the tones and colours utilized. Whites and tans are balanced by brighter accents in the throw cushions and rugs in the comtemporary interior showcasing modern elements. NISI Yachts launches latest 24M motoryacht, 5th hull
The latest hull in the NISI 2400 series has been launched in China. The new hull represents the fifth 24-meter yacht by NISI. The new hull is another copper colour in paint finish with a contrasting white superstructure.
This new boat is expected to run at 30-knots top speed but don't expect her to have a jaw-dropping range. At 9-knots continuously she should be able to knock off 1,500 nautical miles. Cheoy Lee launches first Alpha 76 Flybridge express yacht
Just launched Hull #5033 number 1 of the Flybridge Alpha 76 series. 5033 is first put through dockside trials, where all systems are checked and re-checked for quality of operation. Once complete the boat is cleared for sea trials, where the vessel is put through its paces under full load. To her builders satisfaction 5033 has passed the sea trials with flying colors achieving 37.6-knots under full load! FAST BOAT!!!
