Basically she’s an ocean-going tug with styling and amenities that softens the character of an otherwise rugged yacht. Sporting features to outfit her persona she would be the perfect yacht for the avid explorer. Bare in mind, this design comes in three variant sizes, 42-meter, 45-meter and 47-meter. This particular variant is the 45-meter yacht.

Power is to be provided by diesel-electric means and running her on this alone is envisioned allow her an 18-knot top speed. Not only that but her tanks are large enough to run her for approximately 8,000-nautical miles without stopping. Of course if she is sail-assisted on that journey, the range would be inherently longer. Furthermore, the potential cost savings by using the sail-assisted concept can be as much as above 40-percent.
The massive 110-meter concept sprawls over five decks offering a myriad of opportunities for the owner or guests alike...

The first yacht to be completed in the series will the 48-meter variant. She will be launched in 2013 and also delivered in 2013. Bear in mind that the yachts will be built in carbon composite. Guido de Groot introduces the 'Streamliner' megayacht
Again, a designer has been bold enough to tap into inspiration from the past and throw out a retro design for a megayacht concept. One of these latest exploits comes from Guido de Groot with a concept called the 'Streamliner' 42-meter Project.
We are always "passionate and eager to explore new solutions.", this is according to Guido de Groot Design and is clear on the design of the Streamliner concept. The Vripack Liquid, the Research Vessel re-invented
The Vripack Design Studio has been munching over this one for several years and in the recent year she has grown to be the Vripack vision of the Research Vessel Yacht 2.0 (RVY). Therefore her internal project name has long been Turmoil II. The main reason for this is her striking long forward part being the boat deck, just like Vripacks’ previous RVY 1.0.
However, design wise Vripack did not go for a classic raised forecastle which pops up from the sheer. Liquid Silvers’ forecastle is directly connected to the Owners deck which is situated one deck above the main deck. In this sense, the empty part from the original RVY which is between the raised forecastle and superstructure now blends the two together making the lines cleaner and less cloddy while the extremely practical location of the boat deck is still there. A typical form follows function example...

Italian yacht builder San Lorenzo is currently working on the second hull for the SD110 range of yachts. The Semi Displacement yacht fits comfortably between San Lorenzo's SD92 and SD122 models giving owners more choice in an already well established range. Speaking of owners, this one is destined for an American client.
The yacht oozes typical San Lorenzo styling, no surprises in the design. Currently under construction at the yard's Viareggio facilities the tri-deck megayacht is on schedule for delivery in 2014. San Lorenzo spared no chance at trying to open up the saloon area on the main deck. As is present on many of their models now, the sliding doors on the side of the saloon open to the side decks. The view outwards is further aided by foldable bulwarks that jettison to create mini balconies or terraces...
