I copied it from one of the other threads....immediately thought of RT's plight this winter when I saw it.

Just got back from 5 days taking the boat from Tampa to Pompano beach. We stopped in Ft. Myers, Key West, and Key Largo along the way. Excellent trip.

You can read some HERE, and I have attached a few shots as well.

Also, here is a quick video of us leaving Port Largo. That was a tight fit to say the least!

If you Post kids can escape, Coffee pot is on till noon. Cheap rum there after. I'll keep a light on.

Were in Jacksonville Fl. Funny town in N/E Florida with a south Georgia way of doin things. Weather here has been strange also but no snow. I'm still getting some hours on for work and pleasure.
My recommended marina has a hot tub. Nuf said?

I guess I can mention them.
The Ortega Landings Marina. The Old ORBY (Grahams boat yard before) used to be here.
New heaters for the pool and tub.

Great, I'll put it in my notebook. I'm a NE boater , but one bucket list item for me is a leisurely cruise down the east coast and back after a layover. I'll use the port engine on even calendar days and the starboard on odd days

Ortega Landing really is quite a nice Marina. We stayed there a few days bringing the boat up from the south and loved it. Still get invites for all the theme parties...Hot Tub and a Dark & Stormy sounds pretty good right now compared to how it is up here.

    That is a great plan.
I don't have the discipline to keep her at a 6 knot cruise.

It's only Thursday and the weatherman is threatening another snow storm for next Monday. !!!
    Enough already.

I'm thinking run at 10-1200 rpm around 10 knots? But I probably don't have that discipline either. Bodacious is most comfortable at 1850 rpm/ 27 knots, and can run there all day. Probably can't get away with that in much of the "ditch"? Dunno

One thing that always pops to mind for me is the brown stain I see on trawlers and other displacement boats.
I don't want that on my bow.
But mostly, I like to go fast.............

I called my detailer last week and asked him to put me on the schedule as soon as he can because the boat needs a good detailing after this winter.

he said, "I will try to get you in after the blizzard on Tuesday"

I cant believe those words came out of his mouth after St Patrick's Day in New York.

I just checked the weather again, "Really?", I mean "Really?"

    Its almost April up here!
This is the coldest and most snow I can remember in New York.

NY got lucky today, not one flake of snow today on the south shore.

Unfortunately, I hear Cape Cod and Maine are getting slammed with snow and wind.

All I need is a week of nice weather to get the varnish and boat looking good again.
