    Looks like you might have a 72' Offshore - we are in Roche Harbor with the same. I'm looking for some help with the Kaitai plumbing lines - if anyone out there has had an issue with them failing.

    I have not experienced any plumbing line issues. Could you be more specific. Is Roche Harbor your home port?

    Yes, Roche Harbor is our home port. We live on our Offshore from May through September every year. And our issues are with the Kaitai plumbing - do you know if this is the kind of plumbing you have on your Offshore? I'm trying to find anyone with similar plumbing and get some ideas on how to tackle it. Any thoughts you have would be appreciated!

    KITEC PLUMBING I believe you mean. No issue at this point on our 2001 52 Offshore. What kind of issues?? Are the issues particular to hot water orange color or cold blue color. Fittings failing ?
    Line bursting?

    Must be the mountains in-between us interfering with my telepathic powers.
    So I'll give this old fashioned form of communications (typing) a try myself;
    WTF is broke in your plumbing??

    Yes, you are right. One of the lines says "Kitec" on it, although a vendor told us that Offshore had installed KaiTai in the past...And it's the fact that the fittings are corroded and failing. Pipes are orange and blue and the fittings are corroding.

    Compression / union-coupler.
    May just need disassembly, cleaning and reassembly.
    If that is 12mm tubing, C-Tec tube union-coupler may be a better replacement.
    If real 1/2" tubing and potable water, then a SharkBite tube coupler.

    That was perfect.

    I do have to comment;
    Never kick a sleeping dawg.

    In your picture, it looks dry. That same gook you see on it may have well stopped the leak itself.
    Going after this could just open a Pandora's Box.
