  1. 33.83-meter "Cygnus Montanus" Delivered By Yachting Developments
New Zealand based company Yachting Developments has delivered their latest yacht. The 34-meter sailing sloop "Cygnus Montanus" has been handed over to her owners in quick time. The Adam Lay Studio mixed a semi-woody interior with very prominent splashes of blue to create a vibrant but comfortable and stylish concept. The owner should be proud of their creation after going with a more traditional approach to the exterior with a dark blue hull and yellow pin stripe contrasted with a white superstructure and rig.
  2. German Frers did the exterior design which is simple but pleasing to the eye. Since Cygnus Montanus is envisioned as a cruiser, emphasis is placed on the cruising aspects as well as comfort levels onboard –so the interior is comfortable and luxurious-. There are four cabins onboard for guests with the owner having a full beam suite towards the aft hull and three other cabins for guests. The interior was inspired by trips undertaken on the owner’s previous yacht.
  3. Hull 1012 (as she was known as in build) is expected to go where her owners want to take her and so her draft has to be flexible. Cygnus Montanus employs a lifting keel system to keep her draft slim when the owner wants to take her into shallower confines. For blue water cruising she also needs the full extension of her draft. LOA is 33.83-meters with a BOA of 8.06-meters and a draft of 4.86-meters.
