  1. 33.83-meter "Cygnus Montanus" Launched By Yachting Developments
Hull number 1012 from Yachting Developments is nearing the end of its construction life. The 33.83-meter sloop was recently launched from the build shed bearing the name "Cygnus Montanus". The exterior and Naval Architecture was done by Frers Naval Architects while the interior is the work of the Adam Lay Studio. This 110-foot carbon fiber sloop was built for an experienced owner and they are expected to take delivery in June.
  2. Once delivered, the new yacht will leave New Zealand to embark on her maiden voyage. The interior has been developed to focus on family living. A large main salon which is full beam incorporates a dedicated dining space with the galley and crew accommodation forward. All the interior spaces feature large skylights, allowing the rooms to be flooded with natural light. The accommodation layout is set up for up to eight guests. The owner has a full beam master cabin situated aft while three guest cabins are further forward; each space has its own personality, with the décor themed around trips undertaken on the owners’ previous yacht.
  3. Since the owner owned a boat previously they are no strangers to yachting. Cygnus Montanus is expected to be exploring the world and thus has a lifting keel system. Blue water sailing or in the shallow confines of remote anchorages should not hinder her. “Launch day is always special to us as it sees the culmination of the vision of the yacht’s owners and the dedication and hard work of our team,” said Ian Cook, Managing Director of Yachting Developments. “It is a pleasure to welcome Cygnus Montanus to the Yachting Developments fleet and to see her on the water for the first time.”
