It is now another major boat show -Palm Beach International Boat Show 2024- and more information and for the first time...interior renders of Project 'Mission' have been released. If you do not remember, YF alerted you to many of the concepts that were due to be officially unveiled at the 2023 Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) and Project Mission was one of them. https://www.yachtforums.com/threads/news-yacht-concepts-at-2023-monaco-show.37810/#post-348420 . While the exterior of Project Mission designed by Bernd Weel Design showcases refined yet rugged and aggressive lines the interior is perhaps far from what you would expect. Penned by Carla Guilhem the much softer interior is purpose-work on the part of the designer in trying to counter to hard-edged and rugged exterior appeal.

The Mission of the design properties between the exterior and interior are actually quite divergent. While the exterior lends to the yacht's explorer capabilities and going to discover unknown destinations, the interior is opposite in its value. It urges the guest to revel in self discovery and exploration of self. The interiors can be categorized as open plan but with a feminine and almost futuristic appeal. Different spaces certainly have been designed to have a unique atmosphere.

The soft dynamic continues into areas like the more private spaces onboard. Curved shapes are utilized to convey a more feminine and sensual appeal. Large windows also help with the connection to the outdoors as well as making the area bright and airy during day hours. The colours chosen are also more neutral and tonally subdued.

With the length of Mission being 64-meters there is decent space value onboard. Expect 1,800 GT of internal volume with the capability to sleep 16 to 18 guests. Mission will prioritize large fuel tanks and efficiency to be able to run at 12-knots continuously for 6,000 nautical miles. This yacht has been designed for private or commercial use. If built, Icon Yachts will be the yard.
