Scout Boats LX Range Coming In 2024

Scout Boats has now thrown down the gauntlet to its competition and is actively building what will be the world's largest outboard-powered center console (CC). It is actually a series, the LX series where Scout Boats is endeavouring to offer the 670 LXF (Luxury Fish Model); the 670 LXS (Luxury Sport Model) and the 670 LXC (Luxury Cruiser Model). The series is designed by Harrison Eidsgaard. Although this news sounds surprising and inspiring at the same time, this new range is only a couple feet longer than the current world's largest center console, the HCB Yachts 65 Estrella.

The new range is coming in 2024 according to the builder. Quint Mercury V-12 600 HP engines will power all three variants of the range which are to offer 3,000 horse power. With the initial calculations it is projected to have a top speed of 60 MPH, a fast cruise of 40 MPH, and a range of approximately 500 miles. Construction of the series will be made with Carbon Fiber/E-Glass. Although the LX range may be a touch longer than the 65 Estrella, it will be carrying the same 16-foot beam. However, on the aft just ahead of the engine stack, there will be cockpit beach doors that fold down. This gives the LX series a beam of 19.6-feet in that area making it feel alot more spacious when at anchor.

Normally with center consoles there is hardly any proper space below deck unless you are dealing with the largest CC's in the world. Onboard the 670 LX series, Scout Boats will be offering a three cabin layout with a master cabin V-berth towards the bow, a twin and 'VIP'. Also remember, these boats are meant to be fishing platforms but the larger they become the lines between an express cruiser and CC is being blurred. The first 670 LX Series model is scheduled to complete in the first quarter of 2024 (which is likely a show boat) with full production beginning in the second quarter of 2024.
