  1. Second MCY105 "Serendipity" Launches By Monte Carlo Yachts
Monte Carlo Yachts launched the second hull in the MCY105 series earlier this year and now the yacht has completed sea trials satisfactorily. Delivery to her owner should be very soon. It's easy to distinguish the second hull, named "Serendipity", from the first hull in the series ("G"). Although they appear pretty similar design wise on the exterior, the paintwork sets the two apart easily. Serendipity has a rather light and soft blue hull with a cool white superstructure and this contrasts with the much darker grey and black colour selection on the first hull.
  2. The MCY105 model appears to be off to a decent start and even though this second hull is on the verge of delivery to her new owner, there are two others (hull 3 and 4) currently under construction with delivery anticipated for this year also. In fact, the first six units of this model have all been sold to owners. The design of the yacht is by Nuvolari & Lenard on the inside and out. Top speed is around 27-knots and there is a slight engine upgrade that can be had over the standard MTU 16V 2000 M84 (2,200 HP). Also, there is the MTU 16V 2000 M93 (offering 2,400 horse power). The engines feed from a full tank of 12,000 LT and 2,000 LT of fresh water can be stored. She is 105.10-feet long with a 23.5-foot beam and a slim draft of just 7.9-feet. Nice features include folding balconies from the forward maindeck bulwark. They exist on either side and can fold down to expand the space. There are sliding glass doors in the area and the main/formal dining room is on the inside and will provide very nice views when at anchor. The sundeck/flybridge is very spacious for a 105-foot yacht. There is room for a jacuzzi, al fresco dining for ten guests, flat sofa-style seating to the fore and space for up to four sun loungers at the aft of the flybridge. The area is covered by a large hardtop to keep things cool from the overhead sun. The MCY 105 represents Monte Carlo Yacht's largest yacht in their current offering.
