    Abeking & Rasmussen launches 61-meter "Excellence V"

The latest superyacht in the "Excellence" name brand has been launched for a very well-known repeat client. Abeking & Rasmussen recently launched the 61-meter "Excellence V" from their shed in Germany and she is now in the water. Launching just a few weeks after the 78-meter "Amaryllis", she adds to the A&R new launch portfolio.

Excellence V has been a well anticipated build, mainly because of the legacy left behind by other yachts built with the name Excellence, therefore the suspense of what the latest creation would look like in reality was created indirectly.

Of course you would naturally wonder what happened with "Excellence IV", since there is an "Excellence III" and now an Excellence V. The yacht that Abeking & Rasmussen built for the owner as Excellence IV was a 78-meter yacht and just a few weeks prior to finishing, the owner sold her to who now owns her as the "Eminence". Therefore a new yacht was constructed in what we see launched today as the Excellence V.

Both the exterior styling and the interior has been handled by the Reymond Langton design firm with Abeking & Rasmussen on the Naval Architecture. Accommodation onboard satisfies for up to fourteen guests and around eighteen crew members. Also known as Hull 6486 at the yard, Excellence V continues the colour scheme of previous yachts with the dark blue hull and white superstructure. She is currently in the final fit-out stages and preparing for seatrials afterwards she will be delivered to her patient owner.
