  1. eVTOL and Personal Flight Vehicles for Yachts

We just returned from the NBAA jet aviation convention in Las Vegas. The eVTOL and electric segment is poised to revolutionize short range commuting. Our biggest take-away from the show is personal aviation could be quickly adapted in the yachting sector. This means you won't need a 50-meter plus boat to carry a helicopter. In fact, the aft-deck on a 25-meter boat may be adequate for Personal Flight Vehicles or PFVs. One of the more interesting concepts has roots in the marine industry and is one of the latest features at JetForums. The Cycletech CruiseUp uses a Voith Schneider Propulsion system for directional thrust resulting in some unique aerobatic capabilities...

  2. One example of a PFV is JetsonOne (image below) that uses drone based architecture for flight stability but there are other offerings in development with various propulsion and directional systems such as ducted fans, vectored thrust, etc. There's an explosion in eVTOL concepts and we've documented this on JetForums over the past couple of years...

  3. The best aspect of big boats is the ability to carry a multitude of toys including PWCs, Foil Boards, SeaBobs and subs, but Personal Flight Vehicles could bring an entirely new experience to life onboard; the ability to survey your surroundings from a lofty aerial perch.
