Just wonder if anyone here does and do you agree with Lord Laidlaws sentiments of his thoughts over the new Wally rules .. that he expressed in the latest edition of BI .

IMO he was up against the same type of people that didn't like Scottish Ingenuity like those that banned Graeme Obree from using his bike he built

IsnĀ“t this the history of sail racing with production boats? Somebody comes in and build a faster boat and the racing is over. Of course Wally is not an Olympic Class, but what is the idea of racing with a boat that can not be compared with the others?

He can still participate in races with other boats, just not in the Wally Class.

His boat complied with the new Wally rules to the letter yet there was those that didn't see it that way ..

He decided to not modify his boat to the 2011 rules.
