I purchased a 5/16 316 SS Seadog eye and jaw swivel and not sure if this is strong enough to hold our 34 ft Camano.

The only swivel worth using is the Kong type swivel. Stay away for crap like Suncor and other eye n jaw swivel. I left a very nice 110 lbs Bruce at the bottom of the Indian river off Titusville marina years ago…

Never needed a swivel until we started using a claw anchor in the pulpit.
We started with Nylon and chain. Then found the Ultra swivel.
No more contortions getting the anchor onto the haws correctly.
We went all chain a couple of years ago, kept the Ultra swivel.

There was an Ultra recall. If you try to purchase a used one, check with Ultra for the serial numbers of suspect parts.
There are a few copies on e-bay to stay away from also.

The real swivels are Rina Certified

I'm not a sales guy, I just like the product.

Installed Ultra swivels on two yachts. They have held up and performed well for over 5 years.

Never used a swivel, anchored for years, sometimes 3 times per day.
Had to go up to the bow and manually twist the chain a few times to make the anchor come in at the right angle.
It worked at boats in the 35' to 45' range, on any bigger vessel it would be difficult unless Rambo was on the crew manifest.
