Wieringerwerf – The technical sea trials of MY Lucia-M, the first Jongert 3900MY, "went very well", according to a spokesperson for the yard. "Especially the way in which the yacht maneuvers, at all speeds, was remarkable."This yacht weighing over 200 metric tons maneuvers like a runabout."
This isn't just another concept that is used to spur interest. This 'Revolutionary' design has been ordered by a customer and the Jongert yard is going to tackle the build with Vripack behind the design. In a bit you will see why this globe-trotting yacht is going to be revolutionary. On the surface it looks just like any other 40+ -meter trideck expedition yacht or a design that was built on Vripack's 'Flow' concept. This yacht will amaze you in multiple ways.
Dutch yacht builder Jongert launched a petit motoryacht recently with an LOA of only 18-meters. She is called "Tommy" and boasts modern lines and current-day appeal. One of the main characteristics to the design of Tommy is easily the generosity of glazed surfaces incorporated into the concept. The hull has been splashed with long horizontal windows.
New Jongert 42-meter megayacht by Guido de Groot This new megayacht design by Guido de Groot will fill the gap between the "Lucia M" (39-meter) and the new 50-meter under construction. The new yacht will present the option for prospective owners to build a Jongert over 40-meters but under 50-meters. Jongert will outfit the new design with an owners’ deck, dedicating the upper deck to the owner. The layout will be flexible offering various atmospheres with the ability for Jongert to focus on the ultimate Chinese entertainment environment, with spaces that are expansive, round dinner tables and karaoke/entertainment areas. Jongert 3800SailPower! Having built reputable expertise in the construction of sailing super yachts, the Jongert yard now also employs its capacities in building motor yachts. Two semi displacement yachts by design of Guido de Groot have been commissioned following the introduction of a preliminary design at the Monaco Yacht Show, last year. The 3800MY is the first vessel being built in the new series of Jongert motor yachts. Exterior and interior styling of the yacht is by Guido de Groot Design. This internationally famed designer has joined in close co-operation with Jongert yard, Hugo van Wieringen of Azure Naval Architects and the client. Initially, De Groot composed a design for a 29 meter motor yacht featuring specific style elements of the Jongert sailing yachts. This design appealed to the client, as he has been sailing Jongert yachts for many years. While looking for a motor yacht, it was a very pleasant surprise to see one offered with all the distinctive Jongert qualities. Consultations into the client's wishes led to the considerably enlarged design of the 38 meter yacht. Capable of speeds up to 28 knots and a cruising speed of 25 knots, the 3800MY accommodates eight guests and six crew. She is built compliant to RINA and MCA standards. Special technical features on this yacht are the advanced Jongert integrated touch screen monitoring system and the central hydraulics system. Hydraulic power, generated by the main engines, drives the anchor winch, bow thruster and stern thruster, capstans for berthing lines, the tender crane, the gangway and the zero speed stabilizers.
