I have a customer that will need to transport a 65' Motor Yacht from Florida to the West Coast of Mexico, near Acapulco. He wishes the yacht to be shipped and not delivered on her own bottom. We have already talked to Dockwise, their scheduled destinations are quite far from the desired location. Any other suggestions as to possible alternatives? Thanks!
Yes, Ensenada is way North. We are hoping to find a shipper with a drop off point closer to Acapulco. Dockwise goes to La Paz which is still quite a distance North. Thanks for the suggestions!
A yacht can ride as deck cargo on just about any container ship but be very cautious! I believe it was a Sunseeker that was destroyed last month in California when the shore side crane lifting it off tipped over! The boom apparently landed on the yacht and crushed it! There is no safer or better way to ship a yacht than Dockwise.
Hi, guys My 2 cents. I worked for a company, what carries yachts for SEVENSTAR. We really carried a lot of yachts sometimes. On deck and in the cargo-hold. Please read my post in topick "Cheap Yacht transportation ?" on this forum. If any interest, will gladly assist / explain "how? where? who?...etc." P.S. Look sharply at my avatar...
