    Here's an interesting departure from the white/blue hulled yachts we are so used to seeing. I thought this was a gag at first, seeing it in a magazine. But found several websites that had info on it.

    The photo is courtesy of Andrea Ferrari and here are some of the specs:

    Sort of a modern art take on the WWII vessels with the jagged paint schemes to confuse the u-boat targeting sites.

    "Far out, Dude" or "Gnarley" come to mind.

    Should carry a caution sign: "Staring at this yacht may cause seizures".

    ya - for sure i'm happy now - and now we can sink this one, its the prove that it isn't a canvas to draw on, therefor we got the good old real canvas and the masters

    by the way the one who designed this one, does he know this wasn't supposed to be a picture for the art gallery??

    There is no accounting for taste. It took me a few moments to even figure out which end I was looking at. BTW is that bow square? On the upside they'll never notice a scratch.

    Her name is "Guilty" if I remember correctly. Her interior is just as whacky as the dazzle scheme.

    Guilty is her name and the exterior was done by artist Jeff Kooms. I dug this up..."Koons has stated that the finish was based on a World War I camouflage pattern designed to confuse rather than hide. The dizzying, chromatic graphics did make the unusually jutting planes of the ship, designed by architect Ivana Porfiri, hard to make out on the water. The touchy-feely interior was all mirror, silver leather, and dyed materials."

    I am "confused" !! These yachts with no deck around are a missionn to keep clean. The designers must have realised that and painted to try camoflauge the dirt!! Guilty as charged!!!
