    Hello
    I own a 1992 Silverton 34 MY Aft cabin
My question is how would I find my engine mount angle......I have two options on oil dipstick (confusing) a 0-9 degree angle and a 10-15 degree angle.
Also what is oil capacity for a Marine Power 454 standard?
Thank you in adance fellow boaters

Get an app for your phone that has a digital level, like "Bubble" for Android. Calibrate it, and then lay it on your prop shaft in the engine room, or on an engine component like a rocker cover if you have exotic drive line components.

So calibrate where engine mounts to zero then prop shafts?

No, calibrate the app so that it knows where zero° is. The app has a calibration method in the menu. Just make sure you use the same surface of the phone each time. "Bubble" can be calibrated for each side of the phone independently.

He is looking for the installed engine angle.
Lay the phone with app or a digital level on the top of the engine orientated for and aft, then read the number. Pick any flat surface on the top of the engine like the heat exchanger or other.
If the gearbox is a down angle type measuring the shaft angle won’t give him the right angle for an engine oil dipstick measurement.
