Fresh off the presses - Viking is now building center consoles under the brand Valhalla Boatworks. Right now there are three models from 33-41’.

Michael Peters Yacht Design did the hull. It will be a good running boat.

Was Cabo/Hatteras planning on making a center console?

I'm sure the topic has been discussed. Have no idea what their plans are. However, if I was building a 41' and 45' SF, then I'd be building some CC's. I think a very good move by Viking. In fact, we'd strongly consider them for our next CC. Today most of the CC's other than Whaler are built by small operations scattered all around. Built in places like warehouses in Opalocka.

Not as “fishy” looking as I would of thought, broader market appeal for them.

    Time to sheer the line...

Here's a comparison between the 33' and the 41'. I can see some Viking in the sheerline, but I don't see much else.

I am sure there will be a natural market of existing large Viking Sportfish owners that they hope to tap into for large tenders.

I think Mag Bay is beginning to hit their stride in this segment and if they had the Viking dealer network they would be on a multi year waiting list no doubt. If I was in the market for a 33 to 40 ft center console of this fit and finish the Mag Bay would be on my short list.
