    I might be finalizing a deal soon on either a 61 or a 65 SF Viking, any first hand experince, on the ride and preformance ?

    What boat are you looking at,I have been shopping them for 2yrs or better,I know most of the vikings on the market.I currently have a 2004 65 under contract and am scheduled to due survey next tuesday.

    Performance #'s vary on engine packages obviously.The general opinions seem to be that the Hatteras's are heavier and a better big sea boat.Viking's are lighter and built for speed.

    I have significant experience running big Vikings working for the oldest Viking dealer in the country. As long as they have been maintained They are all great boats!
