Varnish on wooden yacht

    I just wondered if you have any experience on how to best clean and polish your varnished and painted parts of your decks? I'vea little wooden yacht (see my avatar) from the 50's/60's. Took the boat over last year, but withaut "maintenance kit". Any tips welcome!

    The painted areas, you may polish if they are dull, but varnished parts you put on a couple of new coats of varnish with light sanding before each. To clean you can use almost anything, I am using the same soup as I have in my shower...
