    Hello all,
I tried searching but couldn’t find what I was looking for….

I have a 2013 prestige 500. It will be stored in Ottawa, Canada.
Average daytime temp from December to March will below -30f

winterizing the raw water is simple and I have no issue with that. It’s the tempered water part I have some question on.

I have check with a refractomer that the water/heat transfer fluid in the circulating lines is good down to approx 32f.
How do I winterize so I don’t burst any circulating lines? Some say to increase the heat transfer fluid in the lines and drain that back out in the summer, seems a bit of a waste to me…

    any suggestions?

as this is new purchase for me (within the last 6 weeks) I have “missed the boat” in getting it booked into a dealer / marina that can take care of this for me, so I’m on my own for this one…..

any help would be great, TIA.

The tempered water lines should have antifreeze in them to prevent freezing. Are you saying that you don't heat the boat at all during the winter???

    Correct,
The ant freeze in the lines is only good to 32f.
Also correct. No heat at all. Pulled out and stored on land.

That means either no antifreeze at all, or a totally useless one.
Replace all of it with a decent one, using the right concentration.
No rocket science required to withstand minus 30F.

So the antifreeze is equivalent to tap water? Please get someone who knows what they're doing to work on it.

    Unfortunately that would be me!
To late in the season to get anyone.
I already figured this and ordered the propylene glycol.
Just have to drain the system a little and top up till I hit the right concentration.

There's no topping off. You don't have any to top off. You need to replace 60% with anti-freeze for the temperatures you're talking about but also circulate it throughout the system. You are saying you already figured it but you're the one who just said it currently had antifreeze to 32 degrees F which is a totally conflicting statement. I just hope you do figure it out.

When i say i already figured, I meant I had already figured I would need to change the fluid, and by topping it I mean I have to drain 60% out and replace with the Glycol.
as for the 32f, its what was in it when I brought it, out of my control!
