    Greetings all,

    I am a 22 year old south african male who is entering this phenominal industry and have a few questions please HELP!

    i want to enter the industry as an engineer and be employed as an engineer as to obtain my MEOL as soon as possible (3yrs work)

    -what are my chances of getting employed as an assistan enginner of some sort.

    -what are the best ways of going about getting employed as engineer as i hear they are in desperate need (dockwalk, agencies etc?)

    - i want to make a difference and take the career very seriously how do i stand out?

    AM I QUALIFIED ENOUGH??? SUGGESTIONS TO MY QUALIFICATIONS WELCOME!

    Qualifications RYA/MCA Yacht master Coastal 200gt- STCW 95 First Aid at sea.
    - STCW 95 Personal Safety & Social Responsibility.
    - STCW 95 Personal Survival Techniques.
    - STCW 95 Fire Fighting.
    - MCA Approved Engine Course (AEC).
    - Dive Master (PADI).
    - RYA/MCA VHF Radio Licence.
    - RYA/MCA National Power Boat Level 2.
    - Clean Motor Vehicle Licence.

    Skills - Super yacht training.
    - Can cook for crew.

    You have done a few courses but what actual sea going experience do you have?

    The only experience i have is the 700 miles or so i have from gaining my coastal yacht masters, i do understand thats a problem but you got to start somewhere!!! pretty much nobody hires without at least 1 years experience with good refrences!

    Just the AEC certification, but very keen to learn!
