    Anyone heard of and or installed the new electrical format Smart Plug?

    Why use a standard that no one else does - good for one dock and thats it. Europeans have been using pin and sleeve connectors throughout industry for decades, quite a lot of American marinas do too. I suppose the twist lock type continue because of the cost of change.

    I have used one on a Riviera that took 125volts 50amps. It had the 240volt 50 amp cord on the end, and you could plug it right into 240 volts and it converted it to 125 volts 50amps......you could also use the typical 30amp US adapter and it worked with that too. It worked well for my limited use of it.......
